Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am one of the first batch of students who are learning the sep syllabus this year, and it has generally been smooth sailing except for some instances where the portions seem outdated. otherwise, the syllabus is very fun and the lessons are digestible and easy to understand.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am currently in my second semester of 1st B.Sc with the Psychology, Journalism, and Computer Science. The tuition fees per annum here is 50,000 rupees which i consider generally affordable. The fees has stayed the same and does not seem like the fee structure will change anytime in the future. As of Scholarship opportunities, I nor my classmates had any opportunities and I do not believe there were many financial aids.

Campus Life

2

The campus life is pretty average, with festivals like Rangotsav and Elysian providing a respite from the usual college life, but generally speaking, there is nothing special that goes around the college in my opinion, as i find culture fests to often be very bland or straight up boring. The library however is a plus point when it comes to this college, as it is a very good reading spot with many books ranging from fiction to non-fiction which you can take home for some time. there are many council's and culture teams at this institute, however most of the members i have noticed are just there for namesake and often do nothing other than just wear the badge around.

Admission

I joined this college through word of mouth from my neighbour, and to be honest, I do somewhat regret joining here as the fellow students I find here are often very repulsive and indecent, and also, this college does have a very strict and harsh disciplinary rule set when compared to other colleges and gives you less of the freedom that colleges are supposed to give you, where you often feel like a private school student.

Faculty

5

The Faculty are generally very open and nice, ready to clear your doubts during breaktime and class and they also host engaging classes with the help of visual aids and make sure to pay attention to every student. Really ejoyed having our science hod around as she is very friendly and same goes with our class teacher. there are 2 big exams per semester, those being mid-term and semester exams, but i usually find them relatively moderate in terms of difficulty.

Night Life

3

I have not opted for the hostel, so i do not have any first- hand experience with the night-life in the college, although i can vouch for the campus being generallly safe to roam around as the security is very tight.

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

There is no such thing as placements for now (in 1st year here) but in our second year, we have placement support here. We have compulsory internship at our Second year. We only have 2 batches, 1st Year and 2nd Year. But for now, among our seniors 60% of them hold internships and others are either building something or scaling their skills. For now, we don't have any placement records but according to scaler academy, it will be aroung 24 Lakhs.
