What Students Say

Likes

Campus is great and rules and regulations are better than any other college of kashmir.
Sports section provides opportunities for the talented players.
Staff is helping and cheerful. Labs are completely ready with internet facilities.

Dislikes

Scarcity of clean drinking water, sitting space in canteen area is much less.
Contractual based professors are unbelievably boring.
The mandatory rule of 75% attendance is not at all good.

Course Curriculum Overview

IT is a vast and growing industry in todays world. Our curriculum is good to educate and provide knowledge about the sector. Seminars and internships will be a game changer if did in a proper way and a lot more useful for students.

Class Size: 23Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is almost 17000 per year as it is a government recognised college. Not much opportunities for scholarshipa and financial assistance. Campus employment opportunities are nowhere to be seen.

Campus Life

Overall campus is good and also clean. The relationship between the students is also good. No case of assaults or fights have been reported. Picnic, trek, camping and many sports activities are also done.

Admission

12th pass with maths as a subject and total score of atleast 65%. All the things can be found on the university website. Reservation benefits are provided. Each semester takes at least 6months with regular examination intervals.

In my department i.e IT dept teachers and students are interactive, some of the teachers might not be as good as expected. Teachers are regular and really helpful in nature. Classes are not delayed and are on proper time.

sp college:the beginning of my adult life

the course starts from basic mechanics and goes all the way to astrophysics it basically sets your base for doing wonders in all branches of physics be it astro physics quantum physics or classical physics. the areas which i want my college to improve is in the digitization of course and integration of technology in the teaching method

Overall a good University with below average placements.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all, I had taken science in my 12th too, that is why I wanted to continue in science and due to my interest in physics and chemistry, I continued in this course. The curriculum provides me with Whatever is sufficient in my course and whatever knowledge I need, I will have more than that. Exam timing should be in the afternoon only because morning gets very late in coming due to which exam gets skipped, rest it is perfect

Placement Experience:

Placements aren't that good and for Zoology it's like the research roles in labs and under research professors so mostly a salary of 30-50k is what students of Zooly gets at our college and even DU stidnets get the same.

GOVT M.A.M COLLEGE,JAMMU : A Success path to life

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

Remarks:

A Good College Even though the college life seems like a fairy-tale to you, it is not. There are so many things that you have to be careful about when you are visiting a college and checking out its ambience. Don’t get influenced by the clean campuses that most of the colleges have; they purposely do it so that people like you get attracted to their appearance and join their team. If you don’t want to waste your hard earned money on the fees of the wrong college which spoils your fairy-tale dream, you might want to take admission in a college that’s good enough for students like you.
