GLA University: A student's POV

The curriculum set for the course is quite good if followed to the points, and the lecture development plans and syllabus cover most of the important things, one thing I find missing is a curriculum for web development which will help students a lot.

College provides placements in last year of you studies where various companies come and organise there drives on-campus for the students to take part in. The placement percentage is quiet high and it can be considered a major factor for the huge amount of admissions. The highest package has gone upto 55 lakhs in cse with average packages ranging from 6 to 8 lakhs.

We give fees for each semester separately or for the whole year, the hostel and mess fees are separate, and the fees if increase, it does at the start of the year, financial aid and scholarships are provided, based on the financial conditions of the student or of they have really good marks, my fees for the whole course was around 12 lakhs.

The university provides us with a great campus life in the form of its many clubs including sports, cultural, and dedicated clubs in different departments like robotics, cyber security, and many more. We also have NCC for students interested and the campus also has a few social service clubs and organizations for students to be a part of, the student association council organizes many events and fests and an annual college fest is also a great event.

One thing about this college that is not the best is the hostels, the food is up to mark in quality or taste, especially for the amount we pay, the lack of cleanliness is a genuine issue, and there are a lot restrictions as well. Wardens rarely listen to student's complaints.

The admission process is simple, you apply, take an entrance test which is done online, so you could take it from anywhere and if you score well enough you're in, also you could be selected based on merit or you 10th and 12th scores.

Mostly faculty is good, but some teachers know nothing about their subjects or their way of teaching is not compatible with the class, they always use old resources and sometimes we are expected to complete topics on our own without much prior introduction.
