- Less number of students comparatively to other universities which make teachers to focus on students properly
- Professors seek to help students and clear there doubts
- Infrastructure is very good and university is very clean infact it is the cleanest university of north india
Dislikes
- Climate is very hot and harsh.Summers are so hot and sudden change in wheather lead to illness
- You can't order food from outside so you only have to use the shops inside the campus
- There is a particular dress code of the university and it still feels like school
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum mostly follows the IIT syllabus. Making up the projects lead the students to seek knowledge of real world. There are 3 SESSIONAL TESTS and One END term Exam,one need to score 40 percent of marks to get pass. The only improvement i want to suggest is to change the frequency of sessional tests
Internships Opportunities
Most companies offer around 8 lakh -10lakh CTC after 1 year of internship and around that one year most of the companies offer 25k stipend. Job roles offered are SDE, Project Manager, and product analyst.
Placement Experience
By coming to the 3rd year placement opportunities start to come. There were many product based companies and startups which came. Most of the companies asked for 7+ CGPA and by 4th year almost 50% students get placed with 8lakh CTC (average)
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee is 70000 which can be deducted if your sibling is studying in same university. The whole degree can be done within 10 lakh even if you opt for hostel. Placement opportunities are very good even in the recession 200+ companies came to the campus for placements.
Campus Life
There are lots of clubs which run by students under the guidance of teachers appointed as the club mentors. Many social activities happen in the university. University has NCC and NSS as well. Campus life never let you to get bore.Library facilities are available and one can borrow books from there id card
Hostel Facilities
There are 2 Boys Hostels and 3 Girls Hostels.Meal quality is good not best but you can complaint about it to the mess manager and he always helps regarding this. There are 4 students sharing room with 4 almirahs, studying table and 4 chairs,Shelfs are attached to the wall. Cooler facility is also provided as summer is very hot.
Admission
Admission process was totally online.One not need to visit campus before taking admission. Eligibility of the course was to have computer as a subject in your 10+2 only. The admission form is on official chitkara University website. There is no admission test.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is good as there is less number of students comparatively to other universities. Professors seek to help students. Most of the Professors are Phd. holder and there teaching method is great as they don't hurry in completing the syllabus instead they clear our doubts first
