Likes

The major attraction of our college is the autonomy of the college. The college conducts exams and class on the fixed schedule apart from other colleges in the locality.
Our college is leading in academics and cocurricular activities and also offers a charming campus life.

Dislikes

My experience with the college is satisfiable till date and i don't find anything negative. Laboratory facilities are pretty average.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am really interested in chemistry that's why i opted for this course. The curriculum is more based on the theory side. The lack in the application (industrial) side is a major drawback. The curriculum favours various opportunities for higher study and research. The teaching methods are very advanced and effective by making use of all the digital sources. The exams are conducted according to the schedule without any delay and the results are also published at the earliest. The quality of exams are in the higher side by making use of our utmost understanding of the topics.

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship at IIT JAMMU. Our college offers various internship opportunities and workshops to advance our skills and exposure. Usually, summer internships are offered in colleges. Internships and workshops offer many opportunities and exposure to students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual tuition fee for a aided course is about 2.5k to 3.5k respective to courses you are studying. There is a wide availability of scholarships, especially ofr girls. All the scholarships are available in our college like Inspire, Egrants etc. The placement opportunities are on the average side.

Campus Life

Farook College promises a pleasing campus life for sure. The involvement of various clubs, NCC, NSS etc offers many opportunities to students. We have a student union for student welfare and women's cell. Farook college offers great exposure and opportunities.

Admission

The admission process is done directly through the college itself since it is an autonomous college. The college offers both merit and management seats, Cut off is based on the index marks which are calculated on the basis of the mark you scored in the 12th board exams.

We have got all humble and talented faculties. Every one of them are well determined and skilled,They are always available and free to interact. We can clear our doubt and discuss our ideas freely. Faculty to student ratio also in a better side.

Likes

Loved the college campus and academic approach campus is very vast and diverse provide good classroom environment
Teachers are very supportive and friendly to every student there
Management of college doesn’t torture students like in the other colleges

Dislikes

I didnt like the place where college is located that much
I think strictness can be little less in academic
It need to improve in digital teaching methods

I chose bsc psychology because i just love to comfort others and tries to solve their problems our college curriculum makes us not only good in studies but also real life experiences in everyday psychological situations and how to overcome that kind of situation

Balanced campus life and quality of education

Likes

The teachers were suppourtive and explained the subject clearly
The college campus was clean ,peacful and had a good learning atmosphere
The library and other facilities were useful for students and exam preparation

Dislikes

No placement were there so students had to took jobs on their own
Some classrooms and laboratory facilities needed improvement
More extracurricular activities should be arranged

The course curriculum was well structured and covered the fundamental concepts in all details .It included both theoretical and practical learning ,which helped in understanding the subject better .Internal assessment, assignments and semester examinations were conducted regularly.The exams were of moderate difficulty and manageable with regular study.

In our college, along with studies it focus extracurricular activities. Each year definitely some people selected for mg university youth festival and they got prizes in participating items. Kolkali is highlight of our college.

Academic excellence in a beautiful campus

Likes

Academic excellence is there. 90 % of students are merit based admission, those who have achieved 90 and above percentage in 12 th grade. So there is high passing percentage.
Cultural programs are regularly conducted. Don't feel stressed out by studies

Dislikes

Sports activities are not regularly conducted or encouraged
Chemistry lab is not clean, chemicals are not kept correctly

My favourite subject is biology. I have applied for zoology course but unfortunately there is no seats available at that time, so I chose Botany which is also my favourite. The curriculum is perfect and prepares for real world. More practical sessions are needed. Every 6 months there will be semester exam. Which is not that much tough.

Likes

The college has a breathtaking historic beauty.
Many legendary persons, from writers to actors, were an alumni here.
The college atmosphere has place for freedom and fun.

Dislikes

Toilet facilities are very bad. Strict action is required
The college lacks proper drainage infrastructure.
Waste management is worse. College authorities must find solutions to this problem.

Campus has aesthetic beauty due to the fact that it was built during the British-era
Campus life is full of freedom and enjoyment, and lot of activities to do.
Many great personalities studied and had left a legacy untouched.

Dislikes

Waste management is poor. Require proper waste management techniques
Toilet conditions are bad. Some water coolers are not working
Some faculty members are irresponsible as some don't take classes.

The infrastructure is very good as full with trees

I am a chemistry lover. I want to become a chemist. That why I am passionately choose this course. Sree Narayana College, Cherthala was my first option. Their previous year pass percentage is the main attraction to me. There are 38 students in my class. And overall 100-110 students in my department. In our college, other 4 department has Chemistry as complementary course. There are 6 teachers in my department. 4 of them had PhD. One s registered for PhD. They are very brilliant and friendly teachers. The help us verymuch to improve our knowledge and cracking competitive examinations. They taught very well. Laboratory experience is the main attraction of SN college. They provide beautiful lab section. After I passed out, college offered a post graduation. All the 6 semester exams was undertaken by University if Kerala in regular intervals. EXAMINATIONS and Result publications are very well maintained by The University. We are really comfortable.
