Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is vast, yet concise with all the knowledge which is essential for us to be industry ready. But sometimes the order of subject may seem little odd. I think we need more professional options though.

Internships Opportunities

3

Government firms such as C-DAC picks a lot of students for internship. Also companies such as ericsson which is a ece giant provides internship too. But you have to search good internships with stipend on your own only. Professors can help you in this but only if you approach them personally.

Placement Experience

3.5

Minimum of 30 companies visit this college each year and most of the 80 percent of the eligible candidates get a job offer. Well candidates below 6.5 cpi are not eligible for placement drives and they must not have any backlogs too. Average and minimum salary of this college is pretty decent for its ranks with 10 lakhs as an average package

Campus Life

2

As for the campus life you may disappoint in this area. Students run clubs for everything but they lack resources and strength which will grow only with time. You will see happening events throughout the year but not upto the level of any other college or universities.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel rooms are clean and spacious but you have to share your room with 3 other people so it may feel little congested. Washrooms are clean with all necessary facilities including a washing machine to wash your clothes. But water in washrooms is not good. Food is decent with sometimes great feast and sometimes not so great but you can customise your meals accordingly as students have full control on this.

Admission

You have to be qualified in JEE mains for admission in Btech here, college also provide PhD courses. Cutoff for general candidates most of the hovers between 55k to 80k rank. Admission process is simple you get through the all India josaa and csab counseling.

Faculty

4

Faculty is very eager to teach and mentor you they are intuitive. College's students total strength is pretty low as only 4 branches are here from which 2 are a subsidiary branches of the other, so faculty to student ratio is pretty good. Professors know most of the students by their name only

Course Curriculum Overview:

As we all know IIITs are running on new curriculum. We have lab practicals after completing theory in the classes.the teaching method is good according to me. The exams are too frequent. According to me there should be only one midsem exam instead of 3 assessment .And a end sem exam Midsem and endsem exams are enough according to me.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cse ongoing trend, that's why taken that. Curriculum syllabus +few more other topics =placement That means the level of your placement depends on your weightage of that few more topics For every semester there will be 3 assignment and one final exam. Few days before exam is enough preparation. The course curriculum should change completely for India not just for us and teaching methods are good for senior professor but not juniors

Placements are overall good for CSE departments. Average package is 10-12 lpa,and placement percentage is also about 76 % not all placement are campus based some are off campus placement .This is too less as compased to other IIITs .The placement in ece department is about 8-10 lpa which is also very less compared to other IIITs.
