Dislikes
- The English department of my college did not provide effective placements or internships
- The time table management and set-up was quite poor and inconvenient.
- Although, the campus life was quite engaging but the fest management was poor. Moreover, student interactions were biased to appearances.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for this course and curriculum due to innate interest in literature. The curriculum set-up offered me a vast knowledge into the origin of English literature. However, it lacks in diversity and inclusivity of many relevant area of literature especially Indian. The curriculum was easy to approach and comprehend. It likely helps in the real world application as well. Furthermore, exams would be conducted every six - five months which was short for a semester due to COVID batch.
Fees and Financial Aid
The overall fees for my course would be considered affordable, in comparison to other mainstream courses like B.Tech etc. the tution fees was bit higher than the expectations for this course. Campus employment and placements were poor, very poor.
Campus Life
To begin with, the infrastructure provided at VIPS-IPU was upto the mark of convenience and advancement to access the needs of the student. The annual festival was a matter of hoot for everybody however the application and awareness for participation was quite poor. The technological advancements were available but they malfunctioned most of the times.
Admission
The eligibility of the course was based on the CET entrance exam which was conducted smoothly and effectively on computer based mode. I specifically like the navigation and convenience that the GGSIPU website brings that makes the student easy to access and know every information.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio in my department was estimatingly 6 to 2. Each faculty had a great academic calibre and teaching methodology that effectively engaged every student. They were kind and friendly and open to constructive criticism. My interaction with them was good. Thier friendliness allowed each student to feel free to share thier issues with them.
