GIMT: A college with fulfilling campus life

Computer Science helps in terms of placement as mostly IT companies come to hire graduates here. The course as a whole is not updated properly based on the current market. The whole course is mostly focused on theory but it would be better if the hands on experience was also given priority. It would be even better if technologies like blockchain and generative could be part of the course curriculum.

The placement opportunities here are not that great as not many companies come to the campus for recruitment and the package offered are not good enough either . Students have to rely on offcampus drives for jobs. There are a few companies like Alumunus software limited, Qubent technologies and Cludo technologies which consistently hire from here.

The total fees for the four year B.Tech course is around 280000. There are scholarships like SVMCM available for students who secure overall 60 percentage and whose family income is not more than 3 lakhs annually. Overall the fees is affordable compared to other private colleges.

The overall campus life is great. There are sports competition conducted from time to time in college premises and separate volleyball court and football ground is there as well. The library has moderate supply of books. Cultural fest is conducted each year with huge participation.

In order to get enrolled here one has to sit for WBJEE and secure a rank that is suitable to get admission in respective course curriculum. Once a valid rank is obtained the counselling process starts where student has give their preference of college based on which the chance for admission is given.

The faculty from computer science department are not up to the mark for theory sessions. Though classes are conducted regularly but not sufficient to learn the topics in depth. Lecture notes are provided by faculty . Practical classes are good enough to learn hands on experience .
