Likes
- The faculty was very good. Teachers were really considerate while teaching.
- The ability to choose how you wish to complete your credits is awesome.
- The fact that you can choose your own teachers and their timings depending on the slots available was one of the biggest advantages.
Dislikes
- University’s infrastructure is not so great. The campus is still under construction.
- Everyone is unnecessarily strict. Hostel authorities aren’t empathetic or considerate at all.
- PDA is a big fuss in the college. Unlike other universities, you’ll have to submit a fine and your parents will be informed.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was very well designed. The subjects were totally the ones that we're needing now after our placements. Some subjects could be made better but overall there wasn't any flaw. There were two exams per semester for each subject. Mid terms and term end exams.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of compnies offering internships in the fourth year itself. All of the big 4 companies and a lot of the fortune 500 companies hire for various roles. I too have completed my internship as a trainee at KPIT Technologies.
Placement Experience
Placements are a major part of your degree. The curriculum is set in a manner that the whole of fourth year is dedicated to placements. The placement cell focuses on every student individually, correcting their resumes, conducting mock interviews, and many more. Overall, almost 90+% students get placed every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is decided upon the result of VITEEE. Based on your rank, you'll get a fee category from one to five. One being the lowest and 5 being the highest. Better the rank, better the category. Post admission, you are subjected to some scholarship depending on your marks in class 12th.
Campus Life
The campus life is not very good at VIT Bhopal. You are not gonna be allowed to go out of the campus unless your parents and proctor approves. Even after that, the hostel authorities might revoke your approval for no reasons at all. Various sports activities and extra curricular activities keep happening in the campus. The library is their but not enough books. Their annual fest advitya is mid at best. Nothing too good or even good for that matter. Overall the college life at VIT Bhopal isn't worth the hefty hostel fees they're charging
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are not good. The food is okayish but not worth the asking hostel fees. There's absolutely nothing around the campus and hence, you can't live in a rental property. The drinking water isn't good and a lot of people keep suffering due to that.
Admission
The admission process was pretty smooth. There was some small amount of conselling fees. So first you will be filling the application form for VITEEE. Give the exam and wait for the result. Once the result is out, you will be given some options to choose from based on your rank.
Faculty
Almost all the faculty members were PHD. The knowledge was thorough and they made sure that the students understood what they were teaching. The faculty to student ratio was 1:25 which wasn'y that bad at all. The teachers are friendly and made interactions easy.
