Course Curriculum Overview
As an engineering student, real-world applications are required to do well in society and the environment here in PCE focuses on all that very well. Exams are conducted in a manner where students are given enough time to prepare well and make good progress.
Internships Opportunities
Internships offers and their eligibility is posted in the WhatsApp groups for the students. They can apply accordingly. The placement cell of Pillai College of Engineering helps the students to decide what all is good for them.
Placement Experience
During the fourth semester, the students are eligible for campus placements. More than 270 companies like TCS, Infosys, jio etc. visit our college for placements. The highest package is 15 LPA and the average package is 3-4 LPA. Almost 100 percent students get placed every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees remain the same for all four years and Maha DPT scholarship is available for students. Also, many more scholarships are also available if they want to apply for it and are eligible for it. Also, the members of the office also provide information about everything that comes up in the favour of students. Messages are sent to the student groups so that they are aware of all the scholarships that they can apply for.
Campus Life
Alegria fest and Tech Fest happen usually in January and February. The fests happen in a very big way and students enjoy it a lot. There are n number of books available in the library according to the needs of the students. The whiteboards in the classrooms are designed in such a way that it is visible to each and every student. Students can run their own social groups, portals, etc. according to their interests.
Admission
For students to take CSE in this college, they need to at least score more than the 93 percentile in the MHT CET examination. Students can easily find the application form on the website and the fee is 138000. Reservation benefits are available for the people who belong to the Malayalam community. The exams are conducted in a good manner where two subjects are taken on a single day for internal assessments and for the end sem exam, at least one day gap is given between two papers.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is 1:60 and they are always available for us. They make it easier for us to understand concepts and always pay attention to each and every student in a good manner. I have approached them for a lot of stuff and they are always there for any kind of help.
Interview Experience
I did not go through any GD or interview for my selection. It was based purely on the percentile scored in the MHT CET examination and the seats were given according to the cut off of the college. So the process was easy and good going.
