Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Our college is affiliated to RGUHS ( Rajiv Gandhi University of Health And Science) which have good medical college with bright students. Though only few top colleges of Karnataka have its value. Our college is top college so it's given full respect. Teaching our are set by RGUHS which I think are ok. As this is a government college most of the theory classes you will not be able to understand as teachers just read the slides of ppt , you have to watch extra online classes for preparation for exams.

Internships Opportunities

5

All students have to work for 12 months as interns after finishing 4.5 years of MBBS. They will be paid a decent amount of 30000 per month. They have to work in hospitals associated with BMCRI like Victoria Hospital, Vani Vilas hospital etc in all the departments like surgery, medicine, dermatology, emergency etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the last 5-6 years our tuition fees is constant at around 60000. Extra 10000 for college and hostel fees each. The mess bill will be around 4-5k per month. Exam fees will be 5000. In short, residential students per annum fees will be around 2 lakhs per annum. If you belong to SC/ST you will get many scholarships like SSP, FFE etc and free books every year with a laptop and BP measuring instrument. Other students may also get scholarships if they have low family income.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college campus is well with necessary areas like a sports room, grounds for cricket, volleyball, basket ball, gym, all practical labs, auditorium, Hospitals etc. Almost all books by numerous authors are available in our college Library Also, we have a digital library in our college. Our college also conducts Inter College and intra-college fests like COBALT SKIES and KANNADA Habba.

Hostel Facilities

4

In first year 1 room is given for 6 students which is decreased to 3-4 students per room. Meals are decent and menu is with 7 days 7 variety of food. It mostly includes south indian recipies. Registration process will be done on the day of college admission and will be completed in few mins Im in college hostel in New tharagupet Bengaluru

Admission

You have to crack NEET UG with under 3-4k ALL INDIA RANK to join this college if you belong to GM category. Reservation are there for SC,ST and OBC. Application procedure and all will be given on KEA official website. Admission procedure will be within the college.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty-to-student ratio is very good. In a batch of 50 students 5 PGs are divided and given 10 students for each. They are the mentors and responsible for their academic performance. There are 8 desection tables for 250 students. So roughly 30 students will be getting a cadaver. Students are always free to interact with teachers especially their mentors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
