Course Curriculum Overview
Food Production influenced me to take this course and this college gas a really goof setup for that. The courses prepare the students well for real world experiences theoretically and to some extent practically.
Internships Opportunities
Like placements, the internship offers are of 2 types, domestic and international. For domestic, the big hotel brands like Taj, Oberoi, ITC, Hyatt, JW Marriot, Leela Palace and so on. For international, there are internship offers available in Mauritius, France, Dubai. The domestic stipend is from 1.5K to 5K depending on the state one chooses. For international, it ranges from 23K to 57K.. To clarify tge internship task, a viva interview on the experience is being taken and SWE project based on the property is made.
Placement Experience
After semester 5, students are ekigible for campus placements. The domestic Hotel brands which come for campus placements are the top ones of India, like Oberoi, ITC, Taj, Hyatt, Marriot hotels. International placements are also available countries like France, Mauritius, Netherlands, Spain, UAE and sometimes US. Almost 95% students get placements. After graduating, I want to work in Netherlands.
Fees and Financial Aid
Per year the course fees are varietal. For first year its 2.82 laks. For second year its 2.18 lakhs approximately. And in that second year, there will be internship, for domestic its free but for international, the charges r nearly 1lakh. For third year, the course fees is 1.82lakhs.
Campus Life
In IIHm, there are events organised almost throughout the year. Sports event, culinary event, food & dining and also one of the famous, YCO is organised here. There is a huge variety of books available in the library.
Admission
The eligibility of the course is 10+2 level..65% in standard 12 is required. There is an entrance exam which is known as Echat exam. Its a PI based. Application form and all other details can be found in the official website of IIHM. The exam level is moderate for admissions. The admission process starts in December every year and ends in May, there 3 batches of admission in total.
Faculty
All the members of the faculty are well experienced in their fields and they are very friendly. They are always there to help the students with any kind of issues. They help to enhance one's knowledge.
Interview Experience
For admission, I have faced PI and Ecat exams. The topics are very general, about General Knowledge, Logics, Maths and such. For the admission, one just need to be up to dated with the current affairs. I prepared myself for these rounds by studying from Google.
