Likes

Environment for studying is quite good because in 2nd yr they provide single room for student.
Seniors are very supportive and encouraging
You can try to make your career in sports , dancing, entrepreneurs etc

Dislikes

Infrastructure of the college should be improved.
In sports, improvement is required so they can perform well
I experienced that seniors refer the known junior into club of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

When I had started the preparation,my mindset was clear that after cracung the exam I will consider civil engineering.i would like to want that 3month should be given for each syllabus.diffuculty level of exam is very tough.

Class Size: 98Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Placement Experience

On scoring 7.5 cgpa is required to seat in every company which comes in college.highest package of college is 8 lakh per annum.overall placement is 97 Percent.after getting my degree I will try for civil service examination.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee per semester=62500 Hostel fees= 15000 Mess fees=17000 The biggest disadvantage of being associated with private tuition is that it takes agood amount to study and access guidance .if you have good capital then you will easily afford the education.

Campus Life

Culfest is the biggest fest of nit jamshedpur.there are many activities perform in culfest like sports ,coding competition, lecture by entrepreneurs,iAS etc.digital board are present in every classrooms.there are many technological, acting and entrepreneurship club present in the college. You can learn and experience many things by working in club.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel fees =17000 In first they provide two bed ,two almirah and one ceiling fan in room .after 1st year they provide single room . Space of room is enough .they also provide one table chair for study

Hostel Fee: INR 15000 per year

Admission

Admission process was done through josaa.then after when will you get any college in joass after that college will notice the date of admission.in notice college mention the criteria during admission.they verify your document give your set in the college.they can do the online for admission process.

Faculty

Faculties are very supportive and they easily interact with students.faculties are very well qualified.in class , Student can easily approach the faculties and solve our doubts.favultise start their chapter with very basic to advance level.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

My 1st Encounter with the College

Remarks:

Outstanding faculties having a good depth of knowledge.. Well interactive. Ideas and Knowledge is easily projected by them. They follow a stringent standards while conducting experiment, viva-voice in labs. Their teaching style and attitude is good and generally the language of interaction between student and faculty is English. So in a nutshell the faculty is up to the mark and satisfactory.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . You have to score at least 75% in class 12th board to get admission ....Read More

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
