What Students Say?
Likes
- Campus is very good. It offers a great experience being around the campus.
- Aerospace Engineering department has very good connections with organisations like ISRO, DRDO, HAL, etc..,
Dislikes
- Canteen food is very bad and I heard from my friends that hostel food is not good too.
- Rules are very strict. Strictness wise, even some schools are much better than MVJCE.
Course Curriculum Overview
Aerospace Engineering is one of the emerging courses. Core of Aerospace Engineering is Mechanical. You cannot expect more of rocket and satellite related topics in this branch. As 70-80% of syllabus covers mechanical engineering and aeronautical engineering topics.
Internships Opportunities
Some faculties help to get internships at DRDO and HAL. But none of the internships pay stipend especially in companies related to our department. Doing internship by paying for it is totally a scam which our college will also not tolerate.
Placement Experience
Placements are not great for core branches especially for Aerospace Engineering. You need to equip skills and be job ready by completing courses apart from your college curriculum. Doing good projects and internships are a big plus. Once you have necessary skillset that the industry demands, you can easily land on a good job by off-campus interviews.
Fees and Financial Aid
College fees will be around 2.5 to 3 lakhs per year if you are a management student and it will be around 1 to 1.5 lakhs if you are joining the KCET exam ranking. Some of the J&K students will get education for free including monthly stipend. If your family income is less, you can get around 20 thousand scholarship under State Scholarship Portal. While management students get 60 thousands provided you maintain good SGPA and Attendance.
Campus Life
College is strict with regard to attendance. But campus is very beautiful. You will get to interact with diverse people. Many clubs have been established to encourage students to involve in extra curricular activities.
Admission
Admission process was smooth. I got KCET rank of around 40k and managed to get the college in first round itself. Once seat is confirmed, you need to pay fee through NEFT and visit the college for documents verification and admission.
Faculty
Most of the faculties are PhD holders are some are persuing PhD. Teaches have very good theoretical knowledge. You can gain lot of insights into the topics from individual facilities as you can find diversity in the specialisation of various faculties. You can interact with them anytime.
Other Applied Colleges
ACS College of Engineering - [ACSCE] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Aerospace Engineering)
