KIIT CSE detailed review

The course curriculum is very industry-relevant. Students are offered a pool of elective courses as well apart from the mandatory courses to choose as per their interest from their 4th semester onwards. Their are two major exams in a semester, a mid sem exams and an end sem exams, apart from the weekly quizzes and vivas that keeps happening.

List of companies visiting for internship with stipend offered- Intel - 45k IDOS India - 20k Titan Engineering - 10k Wabtec corporation- 30k Posist- 25k Chubb- 30k CME group- 55k Gen pact-25k NinjaCart-15k Brane Enterprise- 30k A4Conserv-10k ProGrad-15-20k Bain and company-30k Lexmark-30k Stipends mentioned are monthly, many of these companies also give a chance to convert your internship to FTE based on your performance during the internship. Many more companies visited the campus apart from these, so the opportunity provided here is abundant, only thing is you've to keep upskilling yourslef.

A student is eligible for placements from the pre-final year itself, although most students get placed in their final year i.e 7th semester. Multiple companies visit the college with packages ranging from 3LPA-30LPA. Different kind of roles are offered including SDE roles, DATA analyist, sales profiles etc. 100% of students eligible for placements have been placed. I did not sit for placements, I'm going to pursue M.Tech at IIT KGP.

The tuition fee is 1,75,000 per semester 1000rs for examination and 1000rs for registration per semester. The tuition fee has not increased for any batch during my 4 years at the college. My total cost including tuition and mess and hostel came out to be around 16 lakhs for 4 years, but I only stayed in hostel for 3 semesters, rest it was online due to covid. Hostel fee varies depending upon the type of room you choose, I was in a 3 sharing non ac room and for it was 28000 per semester, this is the cheapest kind of room available. Scholarships is awarded to top rankers in the KIITEE exam and also to toppers in a given semester( one with the highest cgpa).

The campus life and social aspects is probably the best part of this college, There are clubs for literally anything, form the typical music and dance clubs to cooking clubs, animal clubs, you name it, they have it. Some thing or the other is always happening in the campus making the campus life very lively. All sort of sports facility is available, badminton courts, multiple gyms, swimming pools, football and cricket grounds, everything.

Hostel rooms are equipped with all the basic amenities, you are provided with new mattress, buckets mugs and pillow, along with a couple of bedsheets, so you neet not carry any of these things. There is one time fee for all the times provided. I was in a 3 bed non ac room, it was a big room, having 3 single beds and 3 set of almiras, and 3 set of tablep-chairs with lamp above. The mess food was also fine.

You can take admission either via giving their entrance exam KIITEE, which is free of cost or via of JEE score. KIITEE paper difficulty level is similar to JEE MAIN and it happens around the month of MAY

The faculty-to-student ratio is comparatively higher, 60 to 1, and most faculty are highly qualified and expert in their field. Most of the faculty are very friendly and will help you in your doubts. You can approach them anytime in their cabins.
