Course Curriculum Overview
It's an autonomous institution so the syllabus is evolving and updated every year so it's actually good and also core subjects are explained in a way it is very easy to score good marks. And exams again being autonomous results are published at least 3 months after the exam.
Internships Opportunities
Well, being a mechanical engineer there are no companies near the college for us people. But CS students have very good opportunities as it's near infopark. And to get activity points we can attend paid internships.
Placement Experience
From 7th placement starts and being the no.1 college in Kerala for placements there are a lot of companies joining the placement process, like bosch, royal Enfield, etc .and I plan to join the merchant Navy, after this course so I'm not looking to get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a security deposit of 1 lakh and 75000 base tuition fee and the rest 10000 miscellaneous fees and security deposit will be returned after the course completion so the overall cost of the course is around 3.7 lakhs. There are government scholarships.
Campus Life
Basically, there are 2 main programs which alternate yearly, one is a technical fest and the other one is cultural and different types of sports are available here, a huge cricket ground, football ground, and indoor badminton court are also there.
Admission
Well, it's better to get in first allotment by writing KEAM exam and management seats are also available. KEAM students will have a reduction in fees due to the scholarships and the admission process consists of a selection then a screening then an interview by the relevant head of the department.
Faculty
Faculties are the best most approachable, understanding people Exceptions are there, still majority of faculties are very good. They help you through everything teach you well and it's more of making the students understand the topic than mugging it up.
