Likes

The infrastructure is great. The teachers here are super supportive and they are always ready to help us whenever needed
Hostel facilities are normal for girls, timming of gate closing is 7 30 pm and for boys its 11 pm.
Hostel rooms and comfortable and spacious. You got 4 people living in one single room.

Dislikes

There is a lot of strictness in terms of studies and attendance.
Mess food is good but it is too spicy. Whenever some function is there hostel students are called first even if it is Sunday or any holiday. They don't care if we are busy in studies or not
The timming of the girls is 7 30 pm only and boys timming for gate closing is 11 pm so there should not be like this

Course Curriculum Overview

I have opted for B.Tech course and as we see today's world we can see how relevant this course is and how demanding it is. First year is not relevant at all. All the other B.tech branches will go through the same curriculum as you there will be no difference but from second semester it will ve relatable and relevant.

Internships Opportunities

The internship facility offered here is totally useless you have to focus on your skills and your skills and then apply for internship by your own college will not provide with any internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

The student are eligible for placement in 6th semester.they should not have active backlog. Amazon , microsoft, Flipkart, the math company etc come here for hiring students. Highest package is 45.5LPA and average package is 10LPA which is not so bad. 75% of the students gets placed. After getting the degree i will do M.tech.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees of B.tech course per semester is 64150 and as compared to other private colleges it is affordable and if you opt for hostel facility it is 110000 per annum. If families could not afford this fees then college has got a scholarship program called CGC JOSH and you can get upto 50% off on there fees but it has some conditions. The scholarship is applicable only untill your CGPA is 7 or above. And ROR is also good of this college. The average placement is 10LPA which is not bad.

Campus Life

My college has organised a tech fest called parichay and in that they called bollywood singer dashan raval and did a lot of things it was a 2 day fest . You will not get every book in the library but some books which are in your curriculum.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is quite good actually it has all the activities you need like bedminton, basketball, table tennis etc its rent is 110000 per year. Mess food is good but it is too spicy. Washrooms are not good at all.

Admission

I haven't giving any entrence exam to get into this college and I don't think so there is any exam if there are seats available you can join the college its as easy as that. No benefits for reservation. You should have opted physics and maths in your class 12th and have scored 60%in class 12th.

Faculty

Like for every 20 people there is one teacher or faculty. He/She can be our problem solver and we can interact with him/her at anytime. Faculties are highly qualified and their way of teaching is super effective and learnable. We can interact with our teachers whenever we want. So there is no such issue.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
