Likes

Located in industrial area in Haldia in West Bengal giving a lot of internship and training opportunities.
Decent fees as compared to other private colleges like amity.

Dislikes

Terrible uniform quality which is very uncomfortable in summers. The pink shirt also looks very Terrible.
Interaction with most of the seniors feels like ragging. They often indulge in violence.
Due to its location in an Industrial area. It's heavily affected with air pollution.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of b.tech. in Civil engineering is decently designed and has a lot of scope for improvement. The subjects like biology must be removed as they are of no use in a civil engineer's life. All the essential subjects are crumbled in 4th and 5th semester.

Internships Opportunities

You don't have to worry about it much. The teaches and seniors are very helpful and will guide you for your placements. Focusing on your college grades and being in touch with yiur seniors and teaches will genuinely help you

Fees and Financial Aid

Approximately a student needs to pay rupees 1 lakh for his education every year. The hostel fees is not included. There is no financial assistance provided from the college. For scholarship, students are dependent on the west bengal government

Campus Life

The overall experience is amazing as the college has many clubs to join and explore. There are also sports events which are very engaging. The college fest rivera and prayukti are really fun. In 2023 Ashnir Grover was invited.

Admission

A student with a decent score in WBJEE exam can join Haldia Institute of Technology's Civil Engineering department through the WBJEE official councilling. The process is very simple and happens as per the the rules.

The student teacher ratio is good. The teachers are very supportive in studies as well as in other co curricular activities like music and drama. Our teachers are qualified as per industry standards. The interaction with our teachers are almost regular both through what's app and in person. They are very approachable

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Okay college and decent placement

I choose this college due to affordable fees and the hostel facility near. But I think my desicion was wrong as it is not good engineering college as compared to the other colleges from noida ,ghaziabad and rest cities of India .This is because of followiong parameters that are good in those colleges.1.NO Regular cultural and technical fest. 2.Not any extra co cirricular activities such as dandiya, festive special programs and the main freshers part. 3. There is no farewell given to final year students by the college. 4. No convacation held. 3. No hightech infrastructure and AC classrooms.
