Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum in first year is same for everybody irrespective of the branch they have chosen.The specilization begins from the second year and even the core branches have a bit of coding in their curriculum which is in fad now.The course I have taken teaches C and Java in the first and second semester respectively.They are held with practicals so students can also get a better understanding in their field
Internships Opportunities
Internships are offered mostly during and after second year .Sometimes internship are not offered by the college and one has to apply for them through various networks.One has to be very diverse in their work and projects they showcase.Front end and backend ,web development etc decide the type of internship.
Placement Experience
Third year students are eligible to sit for placements.Almost 80% stduents get placed and the rest opt for higher studies .TCS and Cape Gemini which are well known visit the campus.My plans are to opt for higher studies after my graduation
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for general category students are around 1,40,000/- .Students can apply for scholarship through MahaDBT.The fees remain mostly constant every year for first year students.Although a couple of thousands might increase for higher years.
Campus Life
The college provides a healthy and sporty environment.There are various fests including Alegria in February for which this college is known.The library is available on the third floor and is more than enough for studies.Many workshops are also held during the fests in which students can participate to enhance their skills
Admission
The reservation procedure is complicated but doable if theres time in hand.Firstly students have to make their domicile certificate to avail the 80% in house student quota.Also this college has a language based reservation quota for Malayalam speakers.
Faculty
The faculties are highly qualified.They teach the subject well and help in doubts.Though some faculties are arrogant and rude towards students.They discredit the students answers in exams sometimes even if the answers are present in notes.The teachers are quite approachable and provide their contact numbers to students.
