Course Curriculum Overview

4

Seeing the toughness of the NEET competition right now....it seems as though this field is becoming like herd of sheep. There used to be a remarkable respect for doctors and this is what pushed me to enter this field of white aprons and stethoscope. The intelligence of the doctors are remarkable with the knowledge box they have bulit also encouraged me. The only this which i feel should never happen is doctors being toxic just because of their work pressure. The junior doctors are the most assaulted one. Even during MBBS juniors face a lot of traumas

Internships Opportunities

5

Internship in MBBS are completed in the college hospital itself which comprises of OPD duty, rural postings and emergency duty. Interns are taught clinical practices by JRs and SRs who are doctor themselves.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it is government aided college, the tution fees is very nominal and fixed which is around 6000 INR. This is the best part, i mean with around 30k expenditure, you complete and get one of the most prestigious tag of being a doctor. Although government and bank provide loans through different channels directly to colleges or to student itself.

Campus Life

4.5

Overall infrastructure is best with people being involved in various sports such as badminton cricket volleyball. Infact intercolleges matches are organised very frequently. Library has ample sitting capacity and have almost all mbbs books and journals. It is fully air conditioned with time being 8 am to 8 pm. There are 3 lecture theaters which are fully air conditioned and are used for classes. College foundation day is organised by cultural committee of college which involves many students for extra curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel rooms are fully furnished with separate toilet and bathrooms . We have a corridor and a balcony. The electricity and water supply is present 24×7. The mess is run by student committee which have 3 days veg menu and 4 days non veg menu with quality of food is above good. The allotment of hostel is automatic and hasslefree during admissions only

Admission

For the admission to MBBS courses, you have to pass intermediate exams with minimum 50 percent and further you have to appear for NEET exam(common exam for medical entrance). You further have to clear cutoff for GOVT MBBS seats which is around 630 out of 720 for general/obc/urews and 480 out of 720 for sc/st candidates. The form for this entrance is availabled around march and exam is conducted in may. The paper is of 720 marks. Further during counselling you get to go with multiple colleges among them you will be alloted on the basis of your rank. Further if college is alloted, you may go there and take the admission.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is something around 1:10. There are sufficient tutors and proffesor in some departments while a few departments even haven't got a single faculty like ENT, FMT, RADIOLOGY. Faculty overall are enthusiastic and teach out in everyway possible. Being helpful during their exams viva etc

The frequency of exams is a headache to be honest . There is 1 semester coming up within every 4 to 5 weeks which makes it stressful for us. Moreover the teaching methods are decent. This course is indeed a challenging one!

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a medical college, it always has an environment of focus and consciousness. I have chosen MBBS because I want to be a focused student in my life. I want a disciplined life, which is also a beauty of this course. MBBS develops you as a sincere - sensible and soft personality. In each department of our college, there are 3 to 4 teaching and non-teaching staff and our batch strength is of 170 students and there are totally more than 15 departments in MBBS course, so now you have an idea about the faculty Nad student ratio of our college. Faculty members are excellent in every department of our college be it the Undergraduate department or postgraduate department they are well qualified and renowned and they are great doctors too, they have wonderful art and experience of producing successful doctors. As a medical college, here 1st priority is study and assessment of students so exams are on time and obviously it has a difficult curriculum, which needs lots of hard work and dedication.
