Remarks

My college is one of best medical colleges in the state. All in all an average one with good mix of studies and extracurriculars.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My college being a medical college allows us to read 19 subjects of medical science along with ward duties and 1 year of dedication internship. There are 4 main university exams and 9 semesters. The training during internship is in every clinical dept. making us good doctors.

Placement Experience

4.5

Our college does not call in for placement but provides us a platform for 1 year of rotating internship in all clinical and paraclinical departments. It involves rigorous training and working under top class doctors of my state and learn new methods and patient care. We also receive stipend for our services at the hospital during our internship.

College Events

4

There is an annual college fest held held in the month of February. Starting with inauguration on 13th of feb, it includes multiple societies like those of fine arts, photography, cinematics, athletics, fashion, cultural, workshops and clinical, literary society and the health fair. The highlight is the college foundation day celebration held on 25th of feb where aluminis of the college gather and felicitate the toppers of that term. The fest ends with grand health fair, dandiya nights and a rocking concert.

Fee Structure And Facilities

College fees is quite feasible being a government college it has its own benefits. Free checkups at the hospital. The payment is done annually at the end of term and via online methods of net banking or credit card. The portal is quite secure. In case of stuck payments refunds are available within a week.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I have not opted for any scholarship in my college. And the college also doesn't offer it. Being a govt. college already the fees are too less.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio of 70:80 (f:m). We have extracurricular participation mostly during the college fest. It is the best time for newcomers to shine. From singing dancing to fashion debate quiz paintings photography all art forms are lived and cherished. Competitions at both intra and inter college levels are conducted and prizes also include cash and exciting gifts.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel, rooms are spacious and shared by 2 people. Sometimes juniors may have to share a big room among 3 of them. Single rooms available to 4th year and interns only. Electricity availability is almost 24 *7 Except for few days of technical errors. We have a common tv room, sports room and a study room, hostel garden and the compound are kept clean and full if greenery.

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are very helpful especially during exams and in terms of clinical postings very supportive and ready to teach.

Admission

Competitive exam : neet ug is the entrance exam conducted each year in may for entry into my college. You need to score above cutoff Marks. Seats are granted under 15% all india ranks & rest state ranks. You can apply for neet after you are 12th pass.

Faculty

4

We have a predecided hours of lecture for each subject to be studied as defined by MCI. Faculties of every year are ready to teach be it lecture theaters, wards, demonstration rooms or labs. We are made to perform all experiments on our own. Any system dealt is in totality and case or patient oriented. Various clinical manoeuvres are taught over the patient hence easy to grasp.

The frequency of exams is a headache to be honest . There is 1 semester coming up within every 4 to 5 weeks which makes it stressful for us. Moreover the teaching methods are decent. This course is indeed a challenging one!

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a medical college, it always has an environment of focus and consciousness. I have chosen MBBS because I want to be a focused student in my life. I want a disciplined life, which is also a beauty of this course. MBBS develops you as a sincere - sensible and soft personality. In each department of our college, there are 3 to 4 teaching and non-teaching staff and our batch strength is of 170 students and there are totally more than 15 departments in MBBS course, so now you have an idea about the faculty Nad student ratio of our college. Faculty members are excellent in every department of our college be it the Undergraduate department or postgraduate department they are well qualified and renowned and they are great doctors too, they have wonderful art and experience of producing successful doctors. As a medical college, here 1st priority is study and assessment of students so exams are on time and obviously it has a difficult curriculum, which needs lots of hard work and dedication.
