Entrance Preview

The entrance exam was "DCET" i have written this after completing diploma in aeronautical engineering, and i have scored 1870 ranking from DCET and I chosen Acharya institute because it has the best infrastructure, labs and experienced lecturers. It is 200 acre's Campus with huge stadium all greenery throughout campus and it has its own coffee day, restaurant, canteen inside the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The faculty in this college are experienced a lot with good knowledge of that particular subject. The aeronautical engineering is very tough and a lot head pain. 1st year will be the toughest. If we survive 1st year then it will be easy afterwards. Labs are easy and acharya institute has all the equipment (aircraft engines, wings, landing gear,.ect. ) required for the course. The lectures are friendly but they will send messages to our parents regarding our internal test and attendance.

Internships Opportunities

As I'm in 7th sem my campus interview will be in 8th sem. According to my senior and my observation there were companies like Bosch, L&T construction, air india, Mitsubishi, Lufthansa airlines.ect,. All companies were providing salary about 30,000 to 1,15,000 rupees per month.but the eligibility was 75% throughout your study's.some were 65% was the eligibility for interview.

Placement Experience

3.5

As per my aeronautical engineering seniors placements are very good. But the eligibility is 75% throughout study's.1.Bosch offering from 30,000 to 60,000 rupees per month.2. Air india offering 13,000 to 45,000 rupees per month.Big companies like Lufthansa airlines, L&T construction, Mitsubishi were offering huge salary for freshers from 35,000 to 1,15,000 rupees per month respectively. 32 students attended Lufthansa airlines only 4 students were selected. But all were selected out of 17 students in Mitsubishi. Nobody attended Bosch, L&construction and air india because of the strict eligibility.

College Events

5

The best part of the college are fests.there are many fest which are celebrated throughout institute namely.1. Acharya Habba(fest) biggest fest in Bangalore telecasted in news channels. About 30,000 people attended last year fest. Trailers of the fest are shared online.2. Ethnic day 70+ competitions and programs.3.Onam fest, Habathon, all popular south indian festivals are celebrated throughout the campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

If we write entrance exam and scored good rank then it will be feasible, i have paid about 2,50,000 rupees for whole aeronautical engineering course. If you are joining without entrance exam then you will be bankrupted.Donation will be from 5 lakhs to 20 lakhs and 4 years fees going upto 7 lakhs.fees are very expensive but worth it.

Fees and Financial Aid

College gives Scholarship to the SC,ST and OBC.and some toppers.Scholarship will be about 20% of the fees. But I'm not aware of the college loans

Hostel Facilities

5

Achraya hostels are luxurious 1,10,000 rupees per year for 2 students in a room with Wifi, high class food, non veg facility, washing machines, 24 hours electricity and hot water.95,000 for 4 students in a room and 75,000rs for 6 students with same facili

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very friendly they come to juniors class and give some instruction regarding the subjects. They help us in project work and other subjects and they conduct interesting workshop and they also help us in campus interview preparation according to my seniors.

Exam Structure

First year will be the most toughest year of your life. There are so many tests, extra classes are carried out. leaving you busy throughout year. But after you passed 1st year then you will enjoy the college life with no extra classes or any test.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
