Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

They have introduced something called CBME curriculum to make competant doctors with necessary skills, which is actually cool. But because of it we have to learn subjects of final year from second year itself, which is some what hectic but we understand it's all for our sake only.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Our college has a multi speciality hospital attached to it and after degree we have to do one year internship there only, for few days we are posted to a local PHC but most of our work is here only. There are total 19 subjects of MBBS so some students take out time from the busy schedule of internship and prepare for PG NEET .

Fees and Financial Aid

So there is something called a management quota and state quota. Fees for management quota varies every year but mostly lies above 70 lakh plus open category's fees and later for 3 years they have to pay fees of open category. For open category the fees is about 14 lakh per year with 10% increament for every new batch, means my juniors pay 10% more than me. Iam a open category student under state quota and because I claimed Rajarshi Shahu Fee reimbursement scheme I have to pay 50% i.e around 6.5-7 lakh per year . In total for times we have to pay this amount. Definitely fees is huge but comparatively decent from other private colleges.

Campus Life

4

Basically I love the days of our college fest, everything is so energetic and everyone enjoys. There are sports, literature, dancing, singing, art and craft. But when there are exams we are stuck with books and studies no sports no fun nothing.

Hostel Facilities

3

I livee in the college hostel. It is clean, has sufficient space, accommodates two people. Weekly maushis come and do the cleaning thing. We don't have to do much about it. But the fees is too much for these facilities. not worth it at all but we don't have any options as the college is far away from the city and we can't rent apartment near by due to safety concerns.

Admission

The thing I didn't like is, of we are upgraded to upper college then we have to first cancel our previous admission and the the old DD then cancel it and madhe another new DD for the new college and then do new admission. The whole process is very hectic and tiring. But one thing is good they don't trouble for a document which is not so important . But you should carry all the mandatory documents with you. Be aware that those who avail any scholarship must serve a one year bond in government hospital.

Faculty

4

All the faculties are either MD or MS. They are all qualified enough but most of them are boring. They teach by slideshows on the projector and we just wait to finish the lectures, but the clinics are interesting and we get exposure to patients, residents, nurses and hospital environment. Our college is good in academics.

Curriculum is quite hectic but interesting as well. Even if it's boring, it's important to study for the benefit of common people. Moreover, there are a total of nineteen subjects that you have to study in your complete MBBS.

The course is standard for all MBBS courses. There are theory lectures and practical classes. Hospital exposure begins in the second year onwards. Current revisions in the course like introduction of logbook etc are unnecessary and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is definately a tough course. along with being tough, it also puts some responsibilities on your shoulders as you will be treating real people with real problems in the real world as you complete this course. while studying, students should focus more on 'why' and 'how' type questions than 'what' type of questions. the major exams are conducted in 9 semesters . each semester is of 6 months + 1 year of compulsary internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The current curriculum is comprehensive based curriculum. Here practical knowledge is more important than bookish knowledge. So now spending more time in wards is of greater importance. Exams are held accordingly - 2 internals, 1 prilims and 1 University held by MUHS. Each exam is followed by practical examination. This curriculum will help to build good doctors rather than bookish doctors.
