Remarks

Pretty average college overall. Definitely, there are better colleges nearby. Take admission to this college only if you aren't making it to the better ones.

Entrance Preview

College is pretty average and the marks which I had secured I was knowing that I would be getting a college of similar level also I might have got a better college had I waited for next rounds, but as I got this college in the first list, I didn't want to take the risk.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It's basically Mumbai University, so it's same as all the college in this University. It's a semester pattern, 8 semesters, yearly 2. If you get admission after HSC you have a 4 year course and if you have completed Diploma you can get admission directly to the second year.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college does not provide the internship. If you need an internship than you need to find it yourselves. College doesn't find your internship, at least during my time no one got an internship from college. Few did but they found on their own.

Placement Experience

1

According to me, it's very poor. The percentage of placements via college during my time was hardly 5-10 percentage. College does not have companies coming to the college. It only refers you to a pool campus at other colleges or in collaboration with other colleges. But you definitely cannot rely on college for a job you need to find yourself.

College Events

1.5

There aren't many events happening in the college when you compare it with other colleges. The annual fest named MANGALAM happens in the month of Feb-March which is a very under budget and short event. Sports technical and cultural events happen at the same time. There aren't much or any events except this happening.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very much same to all other colleges. It's approximately around 1 lakh INR for an Open category student per year. Around 50-55 thousand for an OBC, and around 10 thousand for SC/ST student. You get different categories such as EBC, TFWS etc which can help legit and needy students to reduce their fees. Provided they have proper documents.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the scholarship provided by the state and the central government are applicable such as the minority scholarship, the state scholarship, EBC, TFWS etc and a few more. Provided you have all proper documents, coordinating with the scholarship staff is bit hectic and pain.

Campus Life

3.5

The college has a decent gender ratio. It is a pretty big clean campus but has a number of colleges. It has a very nice and maintained ground. Its canteen is descent, sports is not that good, other competitions inside to college are fewer and nothing at inter college level.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

It has a girls hostel which is around 20 KM's away at Sanpada near Vashi. It has a bus which takes to and fro college but it will most probably not match your college timings. The food is seriously very bad as it is in most of the hostels. Other facilities are decent. But again the amount of money you pay for a hostel you can definitely get better if you can stay on rent and share a room with friends.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very supportive and helpful. Alumni network is weak. In my time no alumni helped our batch with placement. I wish alumni gets more active and college makes this happen.

Exam Structure

Again as this college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai, it follows their pattern. 2 semesters per year which makes 8 semesters through the course. Each semester is again divided into 2 units, which has 2 unit tests. Along with the written paper of the subject, it also has practicals, orals, attendance marks.

Admission

This college is affiliated to University of Mumbai, so according to DTE, to get admission to this college I had passed my HSC examination Science stream PCM and also passed JEE mains , then I applied on the DTE site, for which I got my admission booklet from nearest ACR centre, where my documents were verified and after 1st CAP round I got admission here

Faculty

2.5

The faculty is pretty average as it is in most of the colleges in the university. Most of the faculty are inexperienced and they are given more of nonteaching work and that is the reason why teaching standards are not that high. Overall the faculty is decent but not that super friendly.
