Exposure to live sessions and filed trips was the major reason for me to choose zoology as my course . Our college provides regular field visits , has acceptable number of museum specimens . Along with all these , regular mentorship programmes are held providing us insight about the career opportunities in this field . University needs to emphasise on labs and fulfil the requirements of the labs . Talking about the exams ,They are held regularly and the question are related to what was taught during the sessions .

College has tie ups with local national and international companies . Internship opportunities are provided in local companies. Sales , marketing , quality testing are some of the work options to be specific .

Being a government run college , tution fees is marginal with no or very little increment. Tution service fees is easily affordable and is around 16,000 -60,000 Inr depending upon the course . The best part is the scholarship that is provided to students from reserved Categories , covering all their expenses including the hostel fees . Placement cells are organised every year , providing placements to the capable students .

Many annual festivals are held . Shyamotsav , prarambh , holi etc to name some . Their occurrence is distributed throughout the year . College has 2 libraries and every department have their departmental library as well . Many classrooms are enabled with smart classes and projectors. Every year inter-departmental sports competitions are held with sound prizes . Student union is there providing help and assistance to students

To be eligible for zoology hons. One must have completed their 10 +2 with science background. Cut off is high for general category students and reservation is provided to reserved category. All the details about the admission related issues are available in chancelor portal of Ranchi University. Regular exams are conducted with results published with a short term after exam . Admission site is comparitavily slow and stops working at times , this is an area where the university needs improvement.

The faculty to student ratio is upto the mark . Every professor is highly qualified in their respective fields. The way they teach is also quite interesting. Along with teaching the stuffs they show a motivating attitude which is also impressive . Professors are easily approachable and there is no problem faced during interaction with them
