Likes

Timely internships are provided eventhough not that high stipend but still a good opportunity is provided by the campus
Discipline is often maintained as the tight security is observed in every corner of university which helps to maintain decorum of campus

Dislikes

Overrated concept of placements not that much high packages that are claimed by the college
Dress code unlike other pharmacy colleges which provides a choice to the students

Course Curriculum Overview

The clinical knowledge provided by this course is excellent as there are not much opportunities in India after this course but still the scope is in a development phase and much growth might be observed in near future. I think semester exams would be more comfortable for the students than the annual exams

Class Size: 27Course Fees: INR 234000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Per year Rs. 5000 are raised in the tution fees currently i m paying 117000 per semester for the tution fees of my course and for the hostel charges Rs. 65000 are charged for a semester. Scholarships are provided for the minority groups. Proper campus placements are provided eventhough not that much but still it is better when compared to other pharmacy colleges in North

Campus Life

Campus life is good but as a dayscholar I dont get much time to get involved in extracurricular activities as the number of lectures in a day are much and students are mainly busy in attending lectures and preparing for exams. But university provides a special platform for every student if they want to participate in any club activity or any sports activity

Admission

For PharmD, I did not give any entrance admission based on Merit percentage. Marks obtained in bachelors was the criteria on which admissions were provided. For PharmD +2 should be done in Med or Non Med for PharmD(PB) eligibility is Bpharmacy. In my opinion, an entrance should be introduced for this course in future.

Faculty

Experience with the faculty was excellent the way of teaching by the faculty and the interaction do not lack anything as the faculty members are really cooperative with the students and they do their best to clear the concepts of students in the most efficient ways

I applied to Chandigarh University and CGC other than this, but I choose Chitkara over other two as it had better campus, better Faculty and resources. Also, it had better Placements opportunities compare to the other two universities. Admission process is through Extrance examination. For BE course, Jee Main score and 12 th score is taken into contention for the allotment of the seats. Cutoffs are generally eveGe for this college. For BE, its is 60% in 12th and Jee Main score is checked to allot the sections respectively....Read More
