- Infrastructure- as our college is 2nd gen IIT, The Infrastructure is very good and developing more.
- Fests and Clubs - Here you can find every club and societies suitable to you .
- Facilities - here you are proved good hostel facilities and also good academic ones.
Dislikes
- Messfood here is in a range of okay to bad. You will get bored out of it and only some days it is worth eating.
- Location - as the college is 30 km from Patna we are not able to take benifits of a city
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of various Branches is balanced and I think is according to nowadays needs. I chose Electrical and Electronics engineering as it was the optimum choice based on my rank, interests, and prospects. Academics are goods, good competition, and faculties. Term exams were evenly timed and the difficulty level was moderate. Also according to me, Fee is high for general categories (tuition fee alone is 100000/sem) and other fees including all(mess and academics/hostel) are under 50k
Internships Opportunities
We also get on campus internship offers via our training and placement cell club. Various top companies come to give internship like google and others. From what i heard the stipend was something 1.5 lac per month or 5 lac for whole internship period
Placement Experience
As it is a second gen iit , campus placements arr far good , in our branch cse we have avergae package around 38 lacs. Many top tech companies recuots from on campus like google/ infosys/ sprinklr . Almost 90 - 95 percent students are placed and rest opt for higher education
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is variable - for general/obc students parents having annual income greater than 5 lac - tuition fee is 1 lac For gen/obc students , having income 1 to 5 - tuition fee = around 33k For gen /obc students below 1 lac income and all sc/st students - no tuition fee Rest fee for all category is same Like hostel/mess , academic etc.
Campus Life
The Social life here is very good. We get good hostel services and much bigger libraries and CC rooms to study. And there are almost 20 - 25 clubs and societies so that every type of student can find its place. The student body here is named Gymkhana and is very active and influential. Apart from that, we are having various fest in our college around the year. The only less good thing is messy food, although its okay but you will get bored out of it and sometimes even miss meals. But to cover that we have a range of cafeterias and food outlets on our campus.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are very good , as we are 2026 batch we are offered a new hostel with top facilities. Everyone can afford hostels as the fee is only 12k per year . Although the mess food is not that good you will get bored out of it .
Admission
I searched college comparisons based on my jee advanced ranks. The admission process and course allocation were done online by Jossa. Fee submission was made online by the student portal of IITP. I only had to verify the documents offline. As this college was giving me Electronics and Electrical Engineering on my Rank and the placement status, faculty, and various other amenities available, I chose to opt for it.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is good as compared to overall college but is average when in terms of iits. The faculties are good to average in teaching and are friendly to have interactions. Its on student to reach out to professor for doubt if any.
