Remarks

Overall the college is good but in terms of placement, mdu is not good. If someone is looking for a college with placements so mdu is not a good choice for them.

Entrance Preview

Nice infrastructure. NAAC Accredited A grade university. Most clean university of India 2018. Hardworking faculty. Good management for sports. well maintained hostels but the quality of food is, as usual, provided in other hostels. Built at a very good location in the sector area of Rohtak. PGIMS Rohtak is just 2 km far. This year our college has adopted F scheme which focuses on to the point study instead of cramming unnecessary subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is provided online at mdurohtak.in also mdu app is also developed by the faculty to facilitate the students with online information at their mobile screens. Also, the course curriculum is provided in syllabus books. The curriculum is also available with the teachers.

Internships Opportunities

Mdu is not good for internships or placements. In case of the branch-like civil engineering. Placement is almost 10%.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placements ratio is very less in mdu as it only limited companies visit here for placement. The are some placements for cse and ece branches, with the package of around 7 lakhs. Companies like Wipro visit here for placement but they select very limited students.

College Events

3.5

In the first year, there is a provision of freshers party which is organized in every college. Also, there are very folk fests and other fests related to the culture and tradition are also organized. Youthfest is celebrated every year. Like other institutes, DJ nights are not conducted in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not so expensive. It is very relatable to most of the engineering colleges. There is the various scholarship for economically poor students. Also, the main benefit is for hostel fee as the hostels are very cheap as compared to other private college hostels or pg's available in Rohtak.

Fees and Financial Aid

For sc/st candidate whose parents can't afford the fee or they belong to below poverty line are facilitated with the fee movement. They could study here by paying just 500 rs per year.

Campus Life

4.5

College life in mdu is awesome. It has a brilliant infrastructure. The campus is spread over an area of 650 acres which consists of various departments and the PGIMS Rohtak. The campus of mdu is located in sector region of Rohtak. All necessary things such as food and other items are available within the campus, also there are shops nearby for clothing, food, stationary etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel infrastructure is very good. They are provided with free wifi and there is a good facility for sports and other co-curricular activities. There are 24 hours entry-exit from the hostel for boys but for girls the rules are different. They have to enter the hostel before 7 pm.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful in various terms such as guiding about the academics also about good or bad things we may get addicted to.

Exam Structure

Exams are held after every 6 months also there are provisions of 2 sessionals per semester and one time practicals per semester. Class tests and another type of assignments are dependent on teacher's wish. There is a strict procedure for exams. The invigilating team is very good.

Admission

First of all, I have applied for jee mains whose forms are published online once a year. I have opted for online mode, the option of offline mode is also present. After that, I take the examination and after a month the result announced. I had clear the cutoff. So I went to college with my documents and following the procedure I got admission in this college.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty is available from 9 AM to 5 PM in the college campus. They are so helping and motivating. They also encourage us about various competitive exams and guide us about the preparatory methods to score well un the exams. We may get their contact numbers if we want to get their help after college hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the curriculum 7/10. It prepared the students with the theoritical aspects but lacked to prepare them for the practical knowledge. It can be improved by focussing more on practical examination. Each semester there were 3 exams, out of which two were sessionals and one was main exam. The exam difficulty level was moderate but the marking was strict.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are decent but not extremely high like top engineering institutes. College has a placement cell that workds to connect student swith companies and prepeare them for the recruitment process. They orgarnize activities such as resume-building workshopsm aptituted training, mock interviews, soft-skills sessions to help students become more confidebt before palcements. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester of B.tech program. During this time, companies start visiting the campus for recruitment drives and placement interviews. before that student are encouraged to complete internships and improve their technical skills so they better prepared when placement season starts. some of the companies that have visited the campus in recent years include companies from the IT and service sector such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and a few smaller software and startup companies. These companies mainly hire students for roles like software developer, system engineer, technical support engineer, and trainee engineer. the highest package offered in recent year has been around 6-8 LPA, usually offered by a good tech company or startup. Average package is around 3-4 LPA. while the package are not extremely high, they still provide a good starting point for fresh graduates entering the IT industry. In terms of placement percentage around 30-40% of students who actively participate in placements manag to get placed through campus drives. some students also prefer to apply for jobs off-campus which can sometimes lead to better oppportunities depending on their skills and projects.

Placemts over here are okayish i would say , but the thing is that mostly govt exam aspirants come here so that they can study peacefully without thinking much about attendance an all , there are few clubs for tech enthusiast as well , and you will eventually know students who are into coding and stuff because they are very few . 7-8 Companies are visiting during this recession time , mostly service based , With the avg package of 5 lpa .
