Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Experiential Learning Programmes are one of the most exciting courses that teaches you ground work. The FOWE program also gives you exposure on the real life conditions. The exams are often at this place and the academics are somewhat hectic.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is monthly ?3000 scholarship to all students from ICAR. Your sem fee is around ?7000. Your mess fee is ?2600. The electricity bill is ?910. The photocopy charge is ?1/page. The cost of living is minimal but the food is very bad.

Campus Life

3

There are no fears as such. But students try to conduct programs and the biggest one is Holi. There are options for you to participate at the Cultural Fests at different universities subject to selection. There is SPARSH, student body, where you can have multiple clubs. Sports here are: Volleyball, Cricket, Football, Table Tennis, Badminton and athletics. Smart classrooms with centralised AC's. The library is well equipped.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Room is very clean and good. There is no hostel fee. You are given a cooler for warms months. The meals are very bad and I had to depend on Swiggy and Zomato as my cooks. There is an Amul café where you get snacks.

Admission

You should be from 12th science and should appear for CUET-UG. The marks obtained will be used by ICAR for counselling and subsequent admissions. You can get reservations as standard and also have a separate reservation for UT/UPS.

Faculty

3

There is a teacher for each subject and the classes are small so there is personal attention to each student. The departments are very close to each other and you can easily approach any teacher you want.

Tere is no batch of agriculture is still passout so there is no record for the placement of agriculture student but information which college has given that for 7 sem your recruitment will be started. No such record for our courses 2.5_3lakh is what mention while taking addmission Students having 7 and above cgpa are eligible but they also have to clear gdpi sessions. If I get a job I may persuad it for experience and simultaneously complete my pg with agri management for higher growth opportunities in career.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements and there are a lot of companies that come for placements and highest package is by IARI, New Delhi of 96 lakhs per annum and the average package is 10 lakhs per annum. A minimum of 90% of students got placements. My plan is for becoming a scientist after getting my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course because I wanted to explore and contribute to the agricultural sector for better growth of the economy of India, for the people of our country whom we can help especially major concentration towards rural areas or villages. 10:8, Majorly every faculty has done their PhD from known respected universities. In fact we students are actually fortunate to get the opportunity to learn from our faculty members. They are actually very helpful and in our department, the teachers are sincere about giving notes and other information. Term exams were usually normal with the proper time. Truly the exams according to me were mediocre not too tough or not too easy so anyhow a student was required to study.

Placement Experience:

When the students come in the last semester which is the 8th semester then only they are eligible for campus placement. There are a number of companies that provide placements. I don't know about the package since I had not faced any interviews till now for the placements and about 40 to 50% of the students get placement. After completing my course if I get any good University for Masters then I will go for that and if not I will prefer to do a job.

Remarks:

The college is best for who want to complete the course in low amount of fee and the education is best at the cost. The university is small compared to other universities but it gives students advantage of gaining focus of teachers due to low number of students.

In truth there are not any bad remarks for college by myself ..it fulfills all requirements of students to complete their studies easily. Only a weak point of college is not the availability of girls hostel ..hope it will come soon there are many advantages of getting a degree in this college like disciplined environment, regular classes, hostel facility and most it is situated in prime location.
