A trip to Rajagiri valley

The course that I have taken up Ba Animation and graphic design are one of the most preferred course for any artist and creative minds. Not only can we work in an office at any posts but we can also earn by being freelancer. In college we are given works that are exactly how we will have to work in an office include the due date that prepares us to deal with pressure. We have sem exams twice a year and Internals every two months in a sem which means 4 times a year. And since it's a designing field the actions and done on computers on the spot thus we don't have to prepare much from home before exams which is a relief.

Apple box media is a company that offered internship program along with stipend of Rs3000 per month. Students were required to send the companies their personal portfolio of works done in each software that is Adobe after effects,Adobe premiere,and Adobe illustrator.

The students are eligible for placement fromtheir 4th semester. A company called Apple box media visited our college to pick talents graphic designers and animators and they picked 5 students out of 20 or more who applied .The students who were placed were given a salary of rs 3000 per month as starting salary. The percentage of students from our department getting placed is approximately 20 percentage

The total tuition for our course in a year is Rs 60,000. During the admission they ask us if we belong to any minority, Schedule caste etc as they provide scholarships to them. They also cut the donation costs for merit students. Yearly scholarship for students who have performed well for their sem exams are given a small amount of money.

Lots of programs are held in a year and the notable functions which are considered as big events are Inceptra conducted during December - January months. Inceptra is an inter-college event where students from different college comes to Rajagiri to participate in events and win cash prizes. Our classrooms are well lit and equipped with charging ports for phones and laptops for each student in a bench that is 4 in each benches. Sports in college have a season from October - December where several competition are held on track as well as field and indoor. Lots of clubs including nature club , pet's club,dance club,film and media clubs etc are well functioning in our college.

For the course, BA animation and Graphic Design the eligibility criteria were testing out how creative you are in creating a story and s and our talent in drawing is it's a communication design field the test was conduced for a duration of 3hrs which was quite difficult as we have lots to draw and write. If we are entering the college through the management field an entrance exam on this was conducted as well as an interview session required to pass. On the other hand, students entering on merit did not have to go through any tests and only an interview was necessary. As a part of the improvement in the admission process, I think it's necessary to conduct more tests to measure a student's capability in the Animation field and thorough understanding of their limits and passing them accordingly. This improvement is necessary because even after the students who have passed the test and joined the course have later on found it quite difficult to get through each sem

The faculty in our ba animation and Graphic design department is comparatively lower than any other department and the teachers are all very formal and strict about works. Except for two teachers rest are all unapproachable and rude. The often let us do the studying a topic part on our own rather than putting efforts to teach us.
