Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is good in our college as it is under the administration of mg university. They give the right amount of portions required for learning of the students. The only problem is the exams that we write the marks r given only after 6 months. And we can rewrite for improvement or clear supply only next year .

Internships Opportunities

1

There are hardly any internship opportunities given by the college.hardly 1 percent of students get internships from the college. I had to go take an internship by myself after finding out opportunities on my own.

Placement Experience

3

There are campus placements in Rajagiri. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester that is the third year. Companies like ey,Deloitte,Tata visit our campus. The highest package is around 6-7 lakhs a year the average package is 3.2 lakhs a year. The percent of students getting placed are only about 10 percent of students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Intitially there is a deposit of 1 lakh rupees which is refundable after the finishing of the course. Then the first year it is 50000 rupees. Second year 45000 rupees and third year also 45000 rupees. I don't think the fees will be increasing any time soon.

Campus Life

2

There aren't many good functions held in our college of students interest. There are festivals called inflore, inceptra. They don't give much importance to sports. There are students groups like nss ,iedc. The facilities and tech provisions are average.

Admission

I chose Rajagiri college of management and applied sciences over Christ Bangalore,Pune,Delhi and success Bangalore for the sole reason being that it is close to my house and my parents also suggested the same .

Faculty

2

The faculty is not that friendly and engaging and understanding towards the students. The year is divided into 2 semesters so a total of 6 semesters exams in 3 years. Each semesters exams counts towards 80 marks of the total 100, the balance 20 is internals.

Other Applied Colleges

St. Joseph's College of Commerce - [SJCC] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com]

I preferred going to a college close where I live

SES College Sreekandapuram, Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] (Computer Applications)
Reviewed on Jul 4, 2020(Enrolled 2017)

Admission:

I have chosen Bcom because my ambition is to become an accountant. I think it's nice and easy to study. The exams are conducted by semester wise (1 Sem=6 month) for 3 years. Before every semester exam, there will be a model exam. This course is divided into 6 semesters completing in 3 years. It is fair having enough time for preparation having 42 exams in 3 years. This course will give a good profession because there is a sea of changes in the IT field. Learning new programming code is better and easy.

Remarks:

St Teresa's college is one of the prestigious college in Ernakulam City. And also it provides numerous of opportunities for the students to exhibit their talents and also to find their own abilities and skills. That's the main reason for me to choose St Teresa's for my higher studies. In addition to that, in the year of 2019 St Teresa's has gained A++ in NAAC, which makes St Teresa's unique from the other colleges of Ernakulam.

Unwanted and Unnecessary interference of College Management in Government Funds is considered as one of the negative marks of our college. The utilization of PTA fund is not in an effective manner. Unnecessary Political Activities is another problem. Hon. High court of Kerala already banned political activities inside the college. But it can't be controlled deeply.
