Course Curriculum Overview

5

AIIMS Rishikesh, being a prestigious institution, generally offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers foundational principles as well as specialized areas within the medical field. This includes theoretical knowledge, practical training, and clinical exposure. Even in 1st year we are exposed to clinical connections in what we are studying which makes it easy to integrate forwards but also increases the load a little bit There are exams happening monthly with 2 end Sem exams, apart from the mains, aswell as vivas weekly, which makes u keep up with the syllabus

Internships Opportunities

4

We have a 1-and-a-half-year internship in the college itself apart from 1 month of rural posting. YOU can even take extensions if you need to do an elective or prepare for PG exams. It compensates you well, roughly 23k a month if you are lucky

Fees and Financial Aid

For UGs, the fee is typically structured per annum and may include tuition fees, registration fees, examination fees, hostel charges, etc. The complete cost is roughly 12,000 rs including above except examination fees and mess fees. I am not that aware about the financial assistance available but u can get information on the website of college

Campus Life

5

The campus life is the best, it's beautiful, scenic and there are certain spots if u come here that give the best view of the hills. They provide gyms in campus aswell with affordable prices along with it basketball court, badminton courts, tennis and volleyball courts aswell. The college fest is called pyrexia and is just perfect, along with it various clubs having every hobby u want

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The 1st year hostel rooms aren't great like told before, you have common bathrooms which are cleaned everyday luckily. The registration process is pretty quick so is the roommate assigning. The meal quality is better than other colleges for sure, even providing extra stuff

Admission

The admission process was lengthy mainly because of the medical Examination, which takes some time but it helps u explore the college aswell. I go it through the NEET exam which in general category cut off roughly 1000 rank wise.

Faculty

5

Faculty to student ratio is 1:20 roughly in all departments till 3rd year which is pretty good as it helps talk to one or the other teachers easily, even to the HODs without prior permission. The faculties portfolio is also impressive, most of them graduating from top institues aswell as have alot of research papers published

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course from this college due to its hospital. It is one of the best hospitals in uttrakhand. MBBS itself carry an important meaning in once life if they have decided to be a doctor. MBBS teachings here is only done to keep you ready for the real worlds. Case discussions are a regular thing here. Total there are 19 subjects that need to be studied within 4.5 years. Few subjects like PSM, AETCOM module should be scrapped completely. They only waste your time as maximum contents they cover are covered in other subjects and few left could be covered separately. It goes on for 3 years with unnecessary postings and practical where you discuss house dimensions, nutrition, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

-Specific aspects is the pattern of exams, that was MCQs pattern and now it has been changed to 50% MCQs and 50% theory. -Curriculum is prepared in the view of clinical knowledge, there are seminars and other group discussion is also added in curriculum apart from classes - The teaching methods should be changed from PPT to ppt + black board, because it's very boring to stare on ppt for an hour - we have to pass 4 exams in one year Mid terminal exam in the end of 3rd month of academic year End terminal exam in the end of 6th month of academic year And two professional exams at the end of the academic year Exams are not difficult, the difficulty level is moderate

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college curriculum is relevant to our course in this field we save lives of many patients which influenced me the most that's why I always wanted to become a doctor. After the inter introduction of clinical posting we get early exposure to the patients which prepare us for real word application of our knowledge. Time to time exams are conducted here to test are abilities and areas and subjects so that we can improve in that particular field.

After passing the MBBS every student is eligible for the campus placement. There are no companies that visit the college for placement because the students are placed under the government. All students are provided the pay decided by the government. 100% of students qualifying MBBS are getting placements. After getting the degree I have a plan on appearing in the NEET PG exam and after qualification, I will be doing features in any of the qualified branches.
