ISM- Dhanbad Review

If I talk about my course curriculum ECE, I choose the course because it give me the mixture of Electrical as Well as Computer Science. So, I can make my career in both domain. Apart from this there some of compulsory subjects mainly in 3rd and 4th Semester. After that there is Department Electives, we you can choose on the basis of your interest in the fields. Semiconductor course is quite good here and there is lot of scope of this industry in future too. The teachi method can be improved if the teacher puts more effort in teaching the student rather than just reading the slides in the class. There are two quizzes one before mid sem and one after end sem each month. There is mid sem exams in the middle of semester and End sem exams at the end of Semester

Campus placement starts after 7th Semester. Several Companies visited in companies during placement season such as Google, Microsoft, Paytm, PhonePe, Uber, Slice in Tech domain and Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Orica in mining domain. Companies such EXL, ZS associate for the role of data analytics. There are 70% placement in Year 2024 for B.tech due to recession.Generally it is more than 90 %. Total number of Job offer made is 1084. Highest CTC is 51 lpa of Microsoft and average is 13 lpa. I am currently doing Job and after some years I will go for mba

The tution fees is basically 1 lakh per year. Apart from these there are several other fees include such as Gymkhana fees, Fest fee etc. which is basically 10-25k depending upon the semester. Hostel and mess fees is 15k. There are few wavier provisions too. If your family income is less than 1 lakh you will get 100% fee wavier and when it is less than 5 lakh you will get 66.7% wavier. Campus opportunities are also too good. I have done my internship in Jio Platforms Limited with 50k stipend and placed at Cogoport with 17 lakh CTC

There are basically three major fests. One is Srijan the annual cultural fest that generally happens in the month of February, another on is Concetto that is technical fest that happens in month of October and one is Parakram Sports fest that happens in month of March. The library is largest digital library of complete Asia . So you can get books of almost every range here. There is projector in every class along with that a smart board. The sports facilities of college is not too good still you have cricket ground, football ground, basketball court. A Student activity center is there where indoor sports such as badminton, table tennis etc are there. Along with there are several clubs here such as Manthan for music, ADC for drama, Chayanika Sangh for poetry etc this helps student in growing a different aspects of their career

In starting three year of your college you will get a two people sharing room. In 1st year you have to live in amber hostel . In 2nd year and 3rd you have to live in aquamarine hostel which is largest hostel of ISM. In final year you will get single room in Jasper hostel. There is facilities of Lan in each room. Along with that there is a fan two bulb two beds two tables in each room. The mess quality is not up to the mark. It is general food that is provided in every hostel. On Sunday you get delicious biryani. The hostel and mess is quite affordable because it only costs you 15000 per semester.

You have to appear for JEE advance for getting admission in any of the IITs. To appear in JEE advance, you have to clear JEE mains first. The JEE mains application fee is different depending upon your category.JEE advance application fee is 3000 rs for general and OBC candidates and 1500 for SC/ST candidates. Every year, JEE mains happens two time once in January and Once in April and JEE advance happens only once in June. JEE advanced is one of the toughest written exams of all over the world

All the faculty members are qualified enough. There is a condition that you should be atleast ph.d level to become professor here. The faculty student ratio in each department is quite good enough. There is one faculty per thirty students. All of them are Ph.D holders from reputed institute. And they are available in their chamber itself so that you can meet them and ask your doubts.
