Likes
- My college is State govt. which is not less than an opportunity we get many advantages like less fees which the most important benefit for a college student.
- Our college has everything. It is 550 acre. It has got many grounds, indoor stadium got complex in the campus only. Got grounds for hockey,cricket and football separately.
- Out college also provides placements and internship opportunity for us. It is a university but it does not have other college campus, it has different departments for the courses.
Dislikes
- what i dislike about this college is cleanliness. it is the major drawback of this college. It h=does not have a single dustbin in the campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
I'm doing Btech Cse , the course curriculum is good and will get some difficulties in inderstanding but still some of our faculty teach us and make it easier to understand. Some of the subjects should not be in the course which does not have benefit in btech like- Evolutionary computation which some of like biology. There should be subjects which is useful for our future.
Internships Opportunities
Intership for the campus students is unpaid. Recently, Samsung company they provided the intership to 3rd year students for their 4th year training. Many students participated in that. They provided the software development role to the students. It is such a nice experience for us to participate in that internship.
Placement Experience
Student is eligible for campus in 4th year for in-campus. If the student has got the potential then they can choose off-campus. Companies visited are- TCS, Amazon, ineuron and many more but htey provide the package according to the ability of the student. The average package they is 4 lacs. Many students prefer off-campus as they get many other opportunities outside.
Fees and Financial Aid
Academic fees is different for different courses mine is higher as I have chosen the course for management Quota. Our college has option to get the seats with management quota. I don't think which should be there in state govt. University. Otherwise. for different courses fees are minimal. There is scholarship option for the students of SC,ST or OBC. they get half of the fees. GBU provides job opportunity also and internships but the student need to be disciplined then only he/she will get the job opportunity.
Campus Life
Techfest happens in the campus every year in May in which students from our university and othe college students participate. The No. of the books are so much like the library is of 2 floors from which you will get to know how much books are there. Technological provisions are present in the classrooms but it is not useful for Btech students. Sports activities happen and students from other states also participate . There are no, of clubs and social groups. Like GDSC, Techno Cultural Club is there and students participate which help them to upgrade their skills and also helps for their resumes and get their jobs.
Admission
Mine is management quota in which no entrance exam is required. But earlier, I chose other course for which we have to give the entrance exam. Application form is available on the GBU's official website. Application fees is not that much. Reservation benefit is also there, management quota is there but not for all the courses, you have to give the entrance exams. Admission process is good but after the 1st year when you go for the hostel allotment then there is no management no proper systems. Every student has to wait for -4-5 hrs. There should be some system and management for the hostel allotments and the admission process.
Faculty
Teachers has got experience. They teach us with their full knowleadge. but some of them are just like trained teacher. They have a specific knowledge about the subject. They teach us what they feel is best for us
