It's too low 15 girls to 45 boys in a class of 60 and 5 girls are from north India out of these 15. Please note this is when the selection criteria for BTech included board marks. The no of girls goes down when the selection is purely on jee mains marks.

Exam Structure
There will be four exams conducted per semester.two minors each one for 10 marks .one mid for 30 marks .and one end for 50 marks. you should get 35 marks to pass a subject and definitely 17.5 in end. The grades are based on relative grading. This is about exams.
Admission
The one who is interested to join in the institute has to mainly clear the country's most toughest exam JEE mains. The joint entrance exam has lots of competition.one should score rank of less than 10000 to get a seat. For the branches like computer science, you must get Air less than 1500
