Remarks

College management, to be honest, is a bit in favor of Malayalis. So if you a Malayali you get your work done easily. But not to worry to those who aren't this won't be a much of issue for you.

Entrance Preview

Since its one of the best for automobile engineering under Mumbai University. Also, they provide internships which many automobile colleges don't. They also guide you for your future studies like going abroad. Also, the college fest here is like one of the biggest and the best.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As it's under Mumbai University. The curriculum can't be changed much. As if now I am happy. Tough the first year is a bit crazy but that's how it is in every college. Let's see what we get to see in the coming years. But only 1st and 4th year are conducted by the university.

Internships Opportunities

I haven't been able to take part but as told by seniors they do offer internships bit I got no idea about the stipend

Placement Experience

5

This is something I haven't experienced myself. So cant says much about it. But there are like placement cells which take care that you get the right job. Also, our college is a placement hub wherein different companies from all around the world come to our college for interview and students from different colleges are called to give an interview.

College Events

5

So the main event celebrated is Alegria. Which is the annual fest of our college which takes place in Feb? We have a total of 93 events where everyone can participate from any college. Also, there are concerts held wherein a capacity of 5000 students is there. The college also celebrates various days such as rose day and stuff. Every festival is also celebrated lavishly in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes. The college fees are feasible if you get admission through your marks. But if you come through management quota then it's expensive. For a year it's 1,20,000. Most colleges for engineering have almost the same fee structure. So it's quite a lot feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know any such scholarships. But since it's afflicted to Mumbai university which is a government university it offers all scholarships that government provides.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is very lively. You will always find some or the other thing happening in and around. The gender ratio is like for 10 boys you have 3-4 girls. There's a lot of diversity. We even have students from different parts of the world coming here for research and studies. Our college is the best in Mumbai university when it comes to sport.

Hostel Facilities

5

Okay, so the hostel facilities are not up to the mark. The hostel is 2.8km away from our college that's the disadvantage. Also, there is hardly any entertainment system in the hostel. But the rooms are nice well maintained and cleaned regularly. Talking about food. No hostel will provide you food this tasty and quality food. That's how awesome it is.

Alumni/Alumna

Recently we had an alumni meet. More than 500 alumni turned up. It was a very successful event. They even guided us.

Exam Structure

So basically a year is divided into two sems. Each sem consists of two unit tests of 20 marks each. You'll have to score a minimum of 40% marks of the aggregate of two tests to be declared as pass. The sem exam would be either of 80 or 60 marks depending upon the subject. Here also you need 40% marks to pass.

Admission

There's this linguistic minority in college for Malayali students. So I got admission through this quota which is further categorized on the basis of your cet marks. There are 3 lists which come out. Merit lists so if you find a spot there come to college and reserve your seat.

Faculty

3.5

Best. Laboratories are something which an engineer needs and its the best here. Also, there's a lift for easy accessibility. Wheelchair accessible entrance. Projectors in the classroom. Plenty of cool water filters on each floor. The campus is overall very clean.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
