College is having a nice management team. Principal sir is the best principal.

Entrance Preview

This is one of the best colleges in Gujarat. Education and management are the best. Every eligible student gets placed in renowned companies from G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology. Faculties are too supportive here. They are hardworking and helping in nature.

Course Curriculum Overview

GCET is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University. So GCETis following GTU curriculum. They are trying to provide high-class education by the following the curriculum. There is one mid-semester examination which consists of 20/30 marks paper for each subject.

Internships Opportunities

No, college doesn't provide any internship, but students can get internship outside the college (GCET).

Placement Experience

Placement over here is the best thing in GUJARAT TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY affiliated colleges. They are giving the best opportunity to their students by calling good Multinational companies for college campus placement. Almost all the eligible students get placed in it.

Talking about fee structure, it is bit costlier. As there are colleges which are offering degree courses in lesser fee. GCET is having 1.3 lacks fee for one year. So it is one of the costlier colleges of Gujarat. There are some exam fees as well. Which are not included here.

Yes, college is offering some scholarship to needy students. And those needy students are only SC and ST students.

Campus Life

Life at GCET is indescribable. This college will give lots of memories to any students. Especially annual Techfest IMAZE is one of the best events of G H PATEL COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY. students can get the best exposure here to showcase their skills.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, GCET is having separate hostels for boys and girls. For girls, I can say there are better rooms and facilities in comparison to boys. There is a separate food mess which is not serving good quality food to students.

Alumni/Alumna

There is an alumni association which takes care of all alumni. So I don't need to write anything here.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is like, there are two exams, the first one is mid-semester which is conducted by the college itself and the second one is the final examination which is conducted by Gujarat Technological University. Mid-semester exam's weight is 30 marks and external exams are 70marks.

Admission

As I mentioned, students need to go through a selection procedure. They are considering students' JEE mains marks as well as Board percentage. So basically they are following ACPC (Admission committee for professional courses) merit list and based on merit rank they are giving admission.

Faculty

As I said, faculties are too supportive. They are helping students in every manner. Starting from teaching to techfest they are helping every student. They are having good technical knowledge and experience. So students get the benefit of it by learning tech stuff.

PDEU , a Sweet n' Sour experience

Likes

The campus is really well built and has good classrooms with air conditioners in every class ensuring student comfort.in
Decent facilities for extra curricular activities like sports and metro connectivity as well.

Dislikes

Same old rigid curriculum that is still being taught in Tier 3 engineering colleges through out the country
Some of the faculty even though they may be knowledgeable themselves, fail to deliver their thoughts in an efficient way to the students
Attendance criteria is relatively strict at around 80% on paper but you can still do with 70+ percentage.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 7th Semester and companies start visiting at that time. The no. of companies that visit are around 30+ and the highest package offered last time was around 25+ LPA. The average package is 7-8LPA. Some of the companies that visit are Accenture,TCS, Infosys, JP Morgan(students got placed from a Hackathon)

Likes

The campus view is awesome we all will see new things everytime and it feels fresh at the morning.
The personal development of particular students have been in focus of every faculty which is awesome.
The behaviour towards students of every professor is the best all are understanding and calm towards students.

Dislikes

There is a system of gate pass means whenever u need to go out of main gate with the permission we are not allowed to go.
In hostel the washrooms are not so clean for the students with common washroom hostel
The mess food are boring sometimes and the food of the food seems to be same everytime

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I have a great interest in coding and this field is based on coding so i choosed the computer field. -The curriculum of the college are based on the things which will help us in future for real world application. -The way they i based on pdf means they make a full note of a subject in pdf and explain that and which makes clear to us so I don't think they should change. -There is a enough time to study for exams it depends on us how me manage it and the difficulty level is medium it is based on what we have understood till now in studies we have studied.

My Life at Parul University as a computer science student

Likes

The collage infrastructure is really good and vibrant, it is well developed.
Campus life is really good, there are food courts, playground, libraries avaliable.
The whole campus has wifi avaliable, they've got atm too.

Dislikes

there are quite a few restrictions like no roaming allowed after 9:30pm.
mess food is not so good, its managable but sometimes it feels miserable
for every small thing to be done, lots of paperwork is required whether you need to go outside the campus or needs a NOC

Placement Experience:

in my unversity, proper placements usually start from 7th sem, however after 4th sem, the collage provides the opputunity to go for impact traning if youve got more than 60% in your 10th, 12th and throughtout the semesters from that traning top permorning student get a chance to sit for product-based companies. as of now (jan 2026), the highest placement recorded is 60lpa at microsoft, the average is aroudn 3.5 lps to 6 lpa, most of the recruiting companies are service based such as capgemini, infosys, tcs etc. around 200-250 students gets palce after heavy filtering, i plan to go for higher studies,

in the LD college placement is super till now because most of company same as other private college
infrastrure is quite good here all side greenary and animals all other.and many social activity happend

My Life at D.D.I.T

The campus life is great as the atmosphere it consquires is way better than the three experiences I have had at Maharaja sayaji rao university of vadodara, Vishwakarma government Engineering college and Parul University respectively. The atmosphere
The atmosphere cultivates studying and friendly competition Between the peers,it doesn't quench that competitive Nature and rather it amplifies it, also the boy girl ratio is good.
The faculties are the best, and it's not just me all the students feel that way as some faculty are from IITS and some are very experienced and have had decades of research experience in that field.

Dislikes

I think here you focus a lot more on studies rather than extra curricular activities so I think that can be improved
There are too many lectures in a day, conpared to my friends in svit I have around 2 hours worth more of lectures
The wifi and connectivity and there being counsellors is stated but it not implemented intensively

Placement Experience:

The placement are one of the best in Gujarat for chemical engineering as the average package is on the higher side, at 6,50,000 and the highest package has reached 16,00,000. - students are eligible from the 7th semester for placement - some companies that have visited are Reliance Atul Bear L&T G.S.F.C Etc - around 70% of the batch was placed last year. - my plan is to prepare for Gate examination after/around my graduation.

IIT Gandhinagar from the eyes of a First Year

Likes

The Sports Complex is a major highlight of IIT Gandhinagar.
The Campus Amenities are top notch and it is a fully green Campus.
Faculties are Expert in their Respective Fields and teach very well.

Dislikes

The Course Load is very High and you will get very less free Time.
The Exams are quite challenging and you have to keep thinking out of the box.
Some lectures such as World Civilization and Cultures are very boring.

Placement Experience:

Placements this year have become better. 4th Years are sitting for Placements right now. Top companies include Infosys, Oracle, De Shaw, Nvidia, etc. All Data is available in the Placement Report which is available on the IIT Gandhinagar Website. Till May 4, 2024 69 % Students have been placed. I plan to go for a masters after my degree.

the discipline of VVPEC and strictness towards academic studies , ensures focused environment
the college encourages students through substantial scholarship of 25,000 INR for top student in each class to motivate.
well-equiped library facilities provide resources for research and learning

lack of emphasis on sports initiatives , less opportunities for physical activity and team spirit.
stringent policies limiting cultural events and less vibrancy in campus lifestyle
very limited option in canteen and limited space to hangout with friends .

from semester 6th , placements drive is begun talking about my course , Biotechnology engineering , there was NO PLACEMENT DRIVES. But our hod will definetly help in getting great jobs according to your requirement. And help in GATE exam preparation is very minimal , so one shall prepare it by themselves.

The campus life is so good and there are many clubs
As the faculty of technology and engineering MSU is best colleges so good placement opportunities
Infrastructure is also good labs are well maintained

Dislikes

Benches are very old and some are very poor for sitting it
Very shoretst ground as compared to other prestigious collage and also in other faculties
And i personally feel, recess time is so small period, students can not manage

The admission process was quite streamlined.After submitting the application from online and entering my jee main score,i was shortlisted for counseling.In the counseling process included document verification and seat allotment based on preference and rank. Candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with physics chemistry,and mathematics, securing at least 60% aggregate. The college accepts score from exams like JEE Main,State entrance exam,and also conducts its own entrance test for certain programs and the cuttoff for this field is minimum 72 in state board exam it may vary so please check on official website. I applied for many colleges in anand vidhyanagar such as Gcet Bbit etc. But my first priority was G.H Patel college of Technology As this college was very popular for its education and faculties that are currently providing their teaching in this college. I didn't got rejected in any other college which i have applied for but as G.H. Patel College Of Engineering And Technology was my first preference So I applied for admission in G.H.Patel College Of Engineering And Technology. The cutoffs for the admission was at at intermediate level as anyone with average result in their ssc or hsc boards exams can get admission in G.H Patel College Of Engineering And Technology admissions to persue their diploma course or degree in the the engineering field. Overview of G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology

I did not apply to any other colleges as I wanted to go for Mechatronics engineering and not many colleges in Gujarat provided that course during my admission time. The other option was Parul University which I did not want to go to because of the negative academic reviews of the said university. G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology however, had a good reputation based on their academic and hi-tech practicality which made me surely want to choose this college for my education. The admission process was very easy as I went through the final round of the admission process of ACPC. I was immediately accepted and the paper work and the formalities were carried out by the administration department very smoothly. There were no said external entrance exams for the said course and the result for the 12th board was the only thing that was required.
