What Students Say

Likes

The campus is clean and well maintained even though there are limited facilities.
New buildings are being built for various departments
The teachers are helpful but you have to rely on yourself if you want to bag a placement

Dislikes

There are not many food and refreshments inside the campus
There is limited freedom for hostellers as the gate closes at 7 pm
The dinner in the hostel is horrible and unplatable

Course Curriculum Overview

The subject they teach isn't all that important in the long run. Try to maintain 8+ CGPA and you are good to go. Submit the assignments and lab record in time to get good internal marks. The exams are relatively easy if you have prepared in advance

Placement Experience

The highest package is around 15-17 LPA but it's mostly out campus. The average package will be around 6-8 LPA but last year many didn't get the placements. You'd be eligible for placements after 5th semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee increases drastically every year but once you have enrolled it's fixed for the tenure. At present you should be looking at a cost of around 13-15 Lakh including hostel and food for your education.

Campus Life

Even though fests are not as prevalent like other colleges, campus life is fun. There are various clubs and groups to pursue your interests, you just have to look for your clique. Start early and don't hesitate to reach out to your peers and seniors.

Hostel Facilities

There as different types of rooms available depending on the amount of money you're willing wo spend. You can get an AC room with 2 sharing beds, 3 BHK flats with 2 beds, 3 beds etc. The food is horrible at night but the non veg days are nice.

Hostel Fee: INR 98000 per year

Admission

You should have PCM if you want to get into Science stream. I'd suggest you aim for the core branch instead of specialisation as they basically teach the same stuff. You can visit official site to apply for CGET exams or apply using your JEE rankings.

Faculty

So basically CSE department has approximately 900+ students and they are divided in 9-10 groups. So depending on the subject a teacher might take class of 70-90 students. The teachers are nice(most of them) but the placement cell isn't so be careful and don't get in trouble.

Placements are like if u study its sure u will get a placement but if u got distracted and got in anything else so placement will not be urs.avg 6 8 Lpa,highest 55lpa but if u have heard of iter fraud news they just did fraud placements like by paying high amount of money to get in placement exam. many companies like TCS INFOSYS GOOGLE MICROSOFT ACCENTURE DELOITTE etc come every year. placement rate is 80 90%

TRUTH OF ITER

Placement Experience:

After 3rd semester the students are eligible for internship but after 4th sem the students are eligible for Plecement. More the 95% students get the placements. Highest package is aprox Rs.4300000 and lowest is 300000. My plan is for higher studies after getting degree.

I would rate five out of five about the curriculum of the giet university because it is more updated in comparison of other universities of odisha. The exams are taken in the gap of one and a half month. There is no need to update the curriculum

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of this university is updated and they conduct regularly test. The timing for 2 cycle tests is about one and a half month and the semester exam is conducted after 2nd cycle test. The level of exam is quite good and anyone can secure Good marks if they try hard

Placements are good here, I don't know much about it because right now I'm in first year only. But according to seniors the placement training starts from 3rd or 2nd year as compared to the course duration and even they have on campus and off campus placement also and the avg placement in of 4 lac.

ITER SOA is quite intimidating!!

Placement Experience:

IBM, Siemens, Philips and many other companies and even the chio makers and computer makers are also one of the main share holders in placements. For CSE department the average placements are of 15-20 lakhs but for our department the average drops down to 6 lakhs per annum.

I chose C V Raman Global University due to its placement, less fees and modern infrastructure and updated curriculum.
