Likes
- Teachers are really helpful , friendly and you have a direct connect with your teachers (not at all strict)
- Attendance was not at all an issue in our college . The university allow us to sit in examinations (just one will not get attendance marks )
- Environment is really THE thing of Delhi University . Fests , educational seminars are conducted on regular basis , not only one can attend his/her college thing but also can visit other Du college for it
Dislikes
- Cleanliness is the main issue I faced in the college [water tanks , washroom are the worst ]
- Paper work is still a major issue , one have to write n number of applications to xyz teachers , hod , administrative people for just an approval
- The gap between classes are huge [3-4 hours sometimes] . It is truly wastage for students precious time
Course Curriculum Overview
As per me the course allows one to explore for the future and gives a vast range of chance for selecting the masters degree as it contain 2 main subjects [with equal watage] . In this course and in most of the courses in DU are semester based . In this course it is of 3 years and the exam is conducted semester wise in total there are 6 semesters in the whole course . The exams are easy is one have studied well [suggestions for others would be study well mainly for your end semester ] . We have in total 4 subjects [2021-2024]per semester , but the recent changes in this course have 7 subjects per semster which is in my perspective is a good things for the future of the students . We had SEC , GE , and our two main subjects as our papers in last year
Internships Opportunities
there is yearly intership / job mela by the college having different job roles like business executive , HR having Stipend for Work from home {2k-5k} and Offline stipend {7k-15k} and offering ctc of 2.8-3.5 lakhs . Different levels companies are there from micro to large for example in our college coca cola brand have selected 2-3 students
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarships by Dlehi university which students are unaware of and also I was one of the unaware students . They provide scholarships for single girl child , EWS and Many more . Student should apply for such scholarships in 1st and 2st year to avail the maximum advantage [one have to research about it ]. For my course the fee was 9171 per year excluding the exam charges which are approx 700 per semester . Placement cell have a feast per year for job and internship oppurtunity , one can get the opportunities through his / her personal and additional skills . Internships stipend vary over thr skills {5000-15000 monthly }
Campus Life
My persoanl experience with campus life was great being in a girls college life was too easy and comfortable and too fun [my perspective changed after entering in the college ] . clubs are really active with intercollege and other programs . The annual fest named as "Lehren" have stalls of many small bsuinesses and honored brands as well like hero , la pinos etc . Students running their own small business is also encoraged by the college and have a innovative cell for this
Admission
My admission was merit based but now according to recent changes DU takes admission through CUET-UG . The resevation of seats to different categories is the thing I don't like , they rather can reduce the price of the application fees or admission fees . Eligibility was just 12th pass .Application forms can be found on Delhi university officia site . There was no reservation for single girl child but it is not applicable from year 2024
Faculty
Du have really the most interactive classes and seminars . one can directly clear the query with the teachers . As per my point of view one teacher is handling approx 200-250 students [minimum number ] as the teacher teaches 4-5 class . Teachers mostly write down or give you the notes and then make you understand the topics in a easier way .
