Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have interest in this course since 4-5 years back so thats why i have chosen this I think curriculum is better to prepare for the real world applications, projects etc First the behaviour of teachers should be improved sometimes they treat us like he is a dictator rest all are good Exams are tough it checks the full knowledge gained within 5 months

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Companies like tcs they provide job roles like agile manager with a stipend of 10 thousand rupees And project are real world applications with devops concept they often provides summer internship programme with many companies

Placement Experience

4

From the very 6 semester students are eligible for campus placements Companies like jp morgan bharat petroleum tcs etc visited with good package The highest package is 3 cr and average is 4 lpa The percentage should be 7.5 or 7 in getting placement I will opt for college placements .

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees are increased every year but they also provide scholarship which helps students to cut out some capital My complete cost of education is approx 13-15 lacs Lpunest is a entrance as well as scholarship exam which is useful for students to decrease some capital of their semester fees Ya campus have good placement rate and they often teaches us about job roles stipends etc

Campus Life

4.5

First of all as we entered in the college they have provided us music fest and typically it happens in the month of September The library have adequate number of books in the library. Sports are very seriously taken in this college There is a seperate building where all the clubs social group are present

Admission

Eligibility of the course is above 50% in boards All the application form fees details and date are shown on their websites There is reservation for handicapped people and foreigners They give breaks in end sem exam not in mid term and the difficulty level is very good I think scholarship should be increased

Faculty

3.5

The faculty to student ratio is 1:1 and sometimes it feels quite interesting but sometimes boring also The faculty approach and mentorship is good but sometimes they behave like a dictator 9-5 we can interact with teachers and they have to clear our doubts because it is a college policy

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
