Course Curriculum Overview

As a CS student we learn basic and perform real life project in our labs and hackathons and our project. Frequency of exam is like 2 MID TERM TEST and 1 SEMESTER EXAM So, basically we go through 3 exams in a semester at our academic level. Rather than that college organize AMCAT AND CUCET exam to relate students on a larger scale.

Placement ratio of our college is good. You are eligible for campus placement in 6th semester. Placement cell perform their work very well and placement criteria basically depends on two factors one is your academic cgpa and second is your AMCAT exam which held regularly during your semesters.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is like 90000 per semester of academic. And over this you were charged 2000 for exams every semester. College provide scholarships upto 100% on the basis of the CUCET results which in also the entrance exam of our college.

Campus Life

Campus life at CU is great you honna meet a diverse community here. Students from North, South, Northeast came to study. Cu held fest everyyear other than this they oraganize many more fest collaborating with Actors, Singers etc

Hostel Facilities

Hostel accommodation is good Food quality is decent and Security is also on bench at CU. They have camera installed everywhere in the hostels. And grilled the balconies. Have study rooms and gaming rooms badminton courts etc.

Admission

Admission Process is seemless you have to just contact on their website of CUCET you can fill your details there and they will approach you. You have to go through their website and they will conduct an Entrance Exam on that you will avail your scholarship.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio in our college is good. Faculty interact with students in lectures with almost every student and other than academic faculty respose is good. Mentorship depends upon the teacher and the student but our faculty always try to engage with every student. You can approach to any teacher or faculty during the college time untill they are taking lectures or busy in meetings.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
