Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Biotech is an upcoming field which has gained momentum in the recent years and has a lot of scope. Talking about biotechnology the course initially is very ECE cs oriented making exposure to the world of biotech a bit limited but the subjects become more biotech oriented from the 4th semester. The questions that are asked in the paper are mostly discussed in the class so if you are regular and attentive scoring is not an issue. The faculties are very accomplished in their fields with multiple awards and publications. There is no shortage of faculty. There is no problem of Faculties not taking classes. Classes are punctually taken.

Internships Opportunities

3

Faculties may be approached for summer training but there is no formal training program. The lab provides good facilities for Microbiology work, ATC work, fungal and plant biology research. Molecular biology techniques are also available.

Placement Experience

2

4th year students are eligible for placements but they should not have any active backlogs. As for Biotechnology there is absolutely no placements whatsoever in core biotech jobs. Non-tech placements are decent and tech placements are also possible if the company permitts biotech student. Amazon gave the best package for biotech for 30 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost per semester is nearly 1lakh 30 thousand. Students with financial constraints are provided with a scheme to help them pay. Biotech don't get much related placements and there is a lack of infoming about internships.

Campus Life

3

Hubs are quite active in the college. Personally speaking for the Debating Society we have been active throughout the pandemic participating in online debates. The chair with the writing board is not very lefty (hand) compatible. There are courts for badminton, volleyball and basketball. Canteens don't take cash or even paytm wallet making payments difficult.

Admission

50 percent of seats for biotechnology is reserved for JEE students and 50 percent seats are for 10+2 marks eligibility. I myself got admission with my board marks. The required marks depend on the year's cut off. Forms can be easily found online on the college website

Faculty

4

Faculties are very approachable and supportive. They are there to listen to your problems whenever you need them. Faculties are knowledgable and give the best quality of education. They all have excellent practical knowledge which comes handy for labs. Faculties are punctual and make sure the concepts are delivered with quality. All faculties have very reputed backgrounds.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

course curriculum is little bit out-dated, and improvements are needed in terms of syllabus. timing of exams are ok ok. so many assignments are given which is really hectic because their are deadlines to upload those assignments in google classroom. and one thing i hate about college is 75% attendence is must. due to this we do not get much time for our personal development.
