Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum is comprehensive and industry relevant but certain courses doesn't feel like that. Core foundations like DSA and AI subjects plus the core Subjects lik OOPS, Computer Networks are properly tackled and taught. but teaching method can be improved by shifting away from slide reading method which is done by certain faculties.
Internships Opportunities
So many comapny did came for internship offers but i was not able to bagged them, like google for sde, uber for sde and amazon for both sde and non sde roles with salary packages ranging from 80kpm to 1lpm which is pretty amazing given that it's a private college. also alot of companies like playsimple sopsmart or stm came for 12 months internship too.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements in 7th sem but for companies coming for summer interships 3rd year student can participate. the placement figures and good and over 90% of students in general get placed in decent comapnies. more than 150 companies come to college for placements and avg package is 11.4 lakh currently. for 2026 drive the highest package was of 94.25 LPA from likedin allongside with seniors getting placed in google, microsoft, amazon and many more good comapnies. After completing my degree, my professional trajectory is geared toward stepping into SDE or Development roles. Leveraging an intensive academic background in dsa and ai my immediate focus centers on clearing high stakes industry technical assessments and contributing to scalable enterprise code base.
Fees and Financial Aid
the complete four year btech course fee totals 16,34,000 rupees with academic fees systematicall increasing roughly by 5% each year. as i am of general category i have not beneift of the fee wavers that are provided by the college but i have friends whom benefitted from it but i exactly have no idea of the amount. for first year i paid 379000 then in second year i paid 398000 and further in 3rd year i paid 418000. I am currently in 4th year so fees for that is 439000 which we have to pay. the above mentioned fees include tf and df. also we have to pay 20000 rupees for one time and refundable amount.
Campus Life
on campus social life pivot around JYC which is the main youth club which manages all the hubs that are operaitng in jiit like - open source developers community, knuth programing hub and other creative hubs like Crescendo for Music and Nrityang ofr dance whcih shape student life by driving peer mentorship and technical innovation. Also the infrastructure is clean and well air conditioned. labs are technologiclly equipped and there is campus wide WiFI connectivity. for books we have great collection in the LRC where the book genre ranges from engineering to management and self help or some fiction books.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel Facility is good enough in my perspective. The necessary things are properly provided but kettles are not allowed so it becomes a task to hide it from the warden if she comes to check. Food is also fine as it can not compete to the food at home so according to me it's good enough and they provide milk 2 times a day too plus the menu changes every week which is great in my opinion
Admission
choosing jiit over other private colleges seemed like a smart decision due to it's good average package in Delhi NCR. I applied to the northcap university in gurgaon and i was selected there but after talking to students there and looking at the average package of the college i chose jiit being it close to metro station also it is in a good location too. Main reason was fro choosing jiit was also that i didn't had good jee rank to get accepted in the good government colleges. i also got into ipu but again the placements stats influenced me alot
Faculty
The institute have good faculty structure where most professors hold PhDs and are highly approachable during designated cabin hours. while students deeply respect those faculty who focus on practical engineering over rote learning but there is frequent frustration with stricter professort who rely on slide reading and enforce rigid marking scheme. The curriculum is somewhat relevant but its delivery is exceptionally hectic because exams are taken three times a semester alongside continous TAs and Lab Assessments. Due to this relentless pace and application heavy papers many students struggle at start but after certain time they get used to it and doesn't seem to struggle that much
Night Life
The facilities of gym, swimming pool and cafeterias are amazing and easily accessible to all. in night boys are allowed to roam while girls hostel gates get closed at 10 pm and general entry to the campus premises is till 9pm and girls can't leave premises after 8pm. there is not alot of stuff to do in campus but with friends anyone can hangout in garden or the open air theatre on campus or in cafeteria too.
