What Students Say
Likes
- We get a lot of internship opportunities starting from the first year itself.
- The teachers are very supportive of the students in everything, academics and studies.
- We have access to the libraries everytime , after college hourse we can easily go and sit there for studies.
Dislikes
- No extra curricular activities as such are done. Although the college is trying to take that into consideration. The annual college fest was organised after 4 years.
- The management staff can sometimes go over your head for getting things done. You'll have to run around everywhere.
- The infrastructure needs to be improved. Very less space.Although the benches and chairs are good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The BA.LLB. Course is very suitable for students after class 12th because , I think, it saves your one year, when not going for LLB separately. As we are taught the B.A. part first in the starting two years it gives an edge over thinking and critical analysis skills. Torts, contract law, and human rights law are taught to us, however in the first two years. And from 3rd year onwards All law subjects are taught. There are total two exams in a year after each semester. The syllabus need to be comprehended as it is outdated by the university.
Internships Opportunities
From the first year itself we get internship opportunities, starting with NGOs, Advocates, various government internships like DCW, NCPCR, NALSA, Ministry of Law and Justice, under the judges. It is in the hands of the IP cell to provide us such internships and they carry fowmrward our applications.
Placement Experience
In the final year, the college helps with the placements. I genuinely am not aware of the details but those who are very serious in job placements, the college IP cell is there to help and our director sir personally guide the students. My plan after completeing this course is to prepare for further competitive exams like the Judiciary.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees during my admission time was 230000. However, it is increased by 10000-20000 every year with each session. However it includes everything. The hostel fees is separate. There are various scholarships granted to the students on the basis of merit. Beti bachao Beti padhao scholarship is given to girls, scholarship in terms of academics, sports, ews is also available.
Campus Life
The college is not so active in these terms. The annual college fest was held this year in 2024 after almost four years(last in 2020). However, the college authorities are trying to incorparate these practices and last year we had a series of sports event every month called 'Umang'. We have comfortable benches and chairs in the classrooms with white board and projectors. The various societies are Moot Court, ADR Cell, debate society, fashion society, drama society.
Hostel Facilities
If one opts for hostel,it is the same process as the admission process and it is done through it. My room was a 3 seater room and I had to pay 130000+ 10000 security fees. We get a boxed-bed, chair, small cupboard, charging points, good lighting. We used to get 4 times meal- breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner. The food quality was average. On the special days of Fasting- we used to get two times meals for students on Fast. There's this absurd rule that you cannot leave hostel for the first two years if once taken. Now I leave in a PG nearby.
Admission
Anybody willing to do law can take admission. I took admission on the basis of my 12th class merit. And as I had 96% score I was directly admitted without any PI with the registration fees of 500. Other students are interviewed (those below 95% or on other criterias). Everything is available online,on their website. After paying the fees, I received the offer letter and we have to reach the college.
Faculty
The faculties here are very supportive. They are always ready to help in the need of students in terms of academics. Every professor has qualified Law and UGC NET certified. They provide us notes and ppts for help during exams. We can anytime reach to them in the staff rooms or even through whatsapp.
Interview Experience
Since, I had 95+% in my 12th boards, I was directly admitted gor a seat after the registration and after paying the fees. Other students have to go through a one round PI where simple basic questions are asked about self, interests, law.
