Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum being implemented is the one given by the A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University . which has 12 program outcomes. Which are somewhat followed in curriculum but some are not , like learning is ensured but none of the subject cotent promote sustainability or harmony in one self (contradictingly it increases the competition ). The teaching method employed in my college are that each day has on avg 7 lecture (5 lecture & 2 labs) of 50 min each. The missing part is that we must get more exposure to industries so that the mind set and thinking can be transformed from the scratch.

Internships Opportunities

4

during the end of the first year the coleege offered linkedin courses in the name of industry internships . At the start of the second year jp morgan arrived with internship opportunities for 2nd year student with 75,000 rupees after that amazon with 1,25,000 but only selected one student.

Placement Experience

3.5

the highest package offerered in 2023 was by atlassian at 60 lakh P.A. the minimun package offered was of 4lakh. the no of students placed in computer science is 250 in current session i.e 2023-2024 the campus provide additional classes for placements right from 2nd year

Fees and Financial Aid

The first year fee was 1,44,000 which (including bookbank , medical facilities ) ( excluding hostel or transport). if the student scores more marks in university exams then they scored in 12 th or previous semester then per subject 500 rupees id deducted from fees per percent increment. The second year fee is 1,28,000. the third year fee is 1,28,000.

Campus Life

4

The major highlights of the kiet group of instituition is the freedom for club activities which provides with the individual growth in a team. Most of the highest placement scorer were associated with clubs . The college hosts every year a cultural fest , a technical fair ( innotech) , a sports fest and nearly other small events nearly every day except during exam days.

Admission

to take admission in b.tech the eligibility criteria according to theuniiversity is 60% in 12th but to meet the cut off of the college you need to score 96% in 12th or 1 lakh rank in jee main (general category ) for computer science engineering .

Faculty

4.5

I am currently in cs department . My department has 1 mentor allocated to 20 students who take care of student academics ,other performances and problems. 80 % of the teachers have completed their masters and written atleast 2 research papers the other 20 % are still completing their masters. Most of the teachers focus on practical based learning like recently in cybersecurity lecture we prformed sql injection in class itself which was more insightful and fun. approaching teachers is very easy just drop a message on whatsapp or ask them prior when they are available and you can visit them. The teachers are energetic and always trying to give something new after completing the course .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

course curriculum is little bit out-dated, and improvements are needed in terms of syllabus. timing of exams are ok ok. so many assignments are given which is really hectic because their are deadlines to upload those assignments in google classroom. and one thing i hate about college is 75% attendence is must. due to this we do not get much time for our personal development.
