What Students Say

Likes

Can bunk classes. Teachers are very sweet. We can enjoy the life to the bestest just like in movies. They will conduct so many culturals
Teachers are not very strict we can sleep while teachers are taking classes

Dislikes

Education was not at the best as it was Corona time

Course Curriculum Overview

The course on the whole is very very good course. This course prepares us to live our life wisely as it tecahes how to maintain home and health. It teaches us not to depend on anyone. This course is open for many opportunities in future like in hospitals, schools, colleges, food factories etc. So you can blindly go for it.

Class Size: 51Course Fees: INR 8900 per year

Internships Opportunities

0.5

When coming to internship it is not well acquainted, maybe because we belonged to the Corona batch. We ourselves searched for internships and went. It would have been good if the teachers have some collaboration with some internship centres such that it would have been easy. Everyone must do some internship we did not find anything at last we tried and went to some unani clinic and got the certificate

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is very very affordable for everyone. Even for lower class peoples. They will not ask for money in between. We can opt for free internships if we want. But for this degree it is essential to go for higher studies as bachelor's won't be enough for job opportunities

Campus Life

They will conduct many cultural programs, flashmobs. Many celebrities will be invited. Not only programs we also have extra curricular activities. They will focus in many extra curricular activities including sports. And one speciality that no other colleges have is that they provide free swimming training They also have gym facilities for which we have to pay around 700 to use the props.

Admission

The admission process made me feel good with positive atmosphere. They asked few questions about why you opted for this college. That's it . Not so hard we can enjoy the process on the whole. The best college it has been accredited by NAAC A++

Faculty

The faculties are very good. Not very strict. Studying period with them will be so good. They will very well. But unfortunately I had time to spend with them for only first semester. The teaching was very good.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.

THE IDEAL COLLEGE LIFE!

Likes

The opportunities to meet new people and interact with a whole new circle of people by Club Activities as there are quite a lot of clubs according to the student's interest.
Many places to showcase our singing and dancing talent once we join the club or take part in any of the department events.
They have multiple labs for a single department so that the students get a lot of hands on training for coding and as well as hardware.

Dislikes

4:3 Ratio of Girls to Boys in my class and i hope it's the same for all the departments as well.
The college timing can go from 8:30 AM to 5:10PM.
The 75% attendance is kind of doable and maintainable to an extent.

Placement Experience:

about 70 to 80 percent of the students get placed afdter the colleg and the ones not placed also gets placed after the college with high network and communication from other contacts within the college, ZOHO Corp does take placements and i am preparing for my CAT exams as i am planning for My highers at IIM, 5th semester is when the students become eligible for the campus placements and the seniors are a good connection who help to get places and get a job after the completion of degree.

An Insight into JBAS Campus Life

To enroll in any stream provided by the college, the candidate must have senior higher secondary qualification or 12th passed. The admission form can be availed from the college portal after which the college contacts students for a direct interview and admission processing. The fee structure varies depending on the stream chosen by the candidate. It costs an average of 9k-12k per year. The college begins admissions following 12th board announcements, roughly from the month of May to June. The admission process is quite smooth except for proper instructions regarding admission interview. If the faculty could clearly mention the details of the documents and the amount of photo copies required for the admisaion interview, it would save a lot of time and effort for students in making rounds to the college....Read More
