A decent University

I am a history major. I loved the classes, these lectures provides me some real basic knowledge of history of India and the world, which is important in today's order to understand all the espects of society and world better. The only improvement in the curriculum is the need of change in the method of teaching. More projects should be included in the current. We should be given a research opportunity in the topics of history. Exams are moderate to difficult. It is not difficult to pass the exam ,but is really difficult to get good marks . Even after writing good answer, you can't expect good marks . Along with facts , a long length of answers are required.

The fees is mostly inexpensive. It is the most affordable clg in terms of fees and other charges. My total fees was about 5 k for 3 years of degree (excluding uniform which is another 1k). The campus have various internship program but they are not really reliable. Generally we get the most of information in the last moment which makes it difficult for us to act accordingly.

They only conduct program if some minister is visiting. Only govt authorised program like namami gange etc are organised. The book availability is low. Books are often un available. The number of books are quite low as compared to the students borrowing them. Various groups like NCC, NSS are organised Sports meets are organised.

You generally need your 10th nd 12th marksheet, migration certificate , photos and character certificate. You are eligible for courses if you have score of above 45% in boards. Seats are reserved for St SC OBC and EWS background students. Exams are of 3 hrs in summers (April and may) in Afternoon which makes it difficult as the electricity cuts are frequent and the heat makes it difficult .

Faculty to student ratio is low. While some teachers are approachable and helpful , some are so rude that you don't want to be seen by them. The teachers are knowledgeable but sometimes they just read the things rather than explaining it . I hated those English Lectures. They don't put a lot of emphasis on attendance.
