Course Curriculum Overview
Good exposure to research areas. Its not IIT, nor NIT or even IIIT but we have faculties doing their PhDs in the campus and if you ask for their help in your research work, they will do their best to support you. Prof. Dhiraj Amin (IT) helped me a lot during my research paper which was not at all concerned with my academics. Same was the case with Prof. Varunakshi Bhojne (Comps), who supported my team during SIH. Even I had good support from EXTC HoD Dr. Avinash Vaidya during IIC competition.
Placement Experience
Placement is good but there’s a catch. You’ll hardly get a good paying job on campus hiring. They range from 2–4 LPA but that’s all. If you want good placement, better apply off campus. Training and Placement officer, Dr. PSL, is horrible. He hardly has time to listen to you and Changu Mangus (his team) around him are just for name sake. No help from TPC will ever reach you. Harsh reality.
Fees and Financial Aid
When online lectures started, the fees were still the same, which is actually not fair. The food/canteen is missing. There are stalls of food items around the college, but the stalls just arent healthy enough
Campus Life
Campus has good infrastructure. This won’t matter in this pandemic situation but campus is really exceptional. We have a big library with capacity for approximately 300 students plus thousands of books. Excellent canteen with proper food cost, they have okayish hygiene. Big auditorium with capacity for around 500 students. There are more coconut trees than grasses (of course its south Indian minority), luckily I never encountered a fall on my head. Water supplies have filters.
