IRMA the future for sustainable growth.

The cpurse is rural management but don't get fooled by the name. IRMA offers courses very similar to regular mba and also has a touch of rural development. The curriculum offer a wide range of electives in finance, marketing and HR field. There are 3 terms in a year and each term has a mid exam and final exam. The exams are supervised strictly and any unethical practices are strictly prohibited.

Everyone got placed and was offered stipend for their intership period. The average stipend went around 60000 with the highest being 2.4 lakhs. There was a wide range of project related to marketing and financial fields. There was a lot of opportunities for learning and getting in the corporate world.

The students are eligible for campus placements after the 5th term. The major recruiters are amul, nddb, ey, godrej, adani wilmar, tata steel, hdfc, icici, axis bank, delloite, baif and so on. The highest package this year was 32 lpa and the lowest was 9.5 lpa. 100% of the students are placed from all the batches. After getting the degree I plan on getting a good placement and working my way up the ladder.

The total fee of 2 years for my batch is 16,39,000 including hostel, tution and other charges. Mess bill is around 4500 per month which has to be paid after each month. Apart from that there are no charges. The fee has increased by around 1.5 lakhs for the succeeding batch. There are a lot of scholarships including the tution fee waiver, merit based scholarship, and various caste based scholarships as well.

All the festivals are celebrated with unity by the participants. There are major events like the alumni meet called milaap then the VFS mela on the foundation day. Then there is hostel wars for building the bonding among the hostel participants seniors and juniors, then there are section wars where a healthy competitive environment is created. Also sports events like Irma Premier League, Irma football leage, Irma Volleyball league and the senior-junior sports sangarsh are organized. Many events are organized by the clubs of Irma

We get single occupancy rooms, fully furnished. Wifi is provided, 24 hrs water and clean drinking water is available. Cleanliness is maintained everyday. It is a compulsory residential programme so opting for hostel is compulsory. Mess menu is updated every month with wide range of dishes from different parts of the country.

Students having any bachelors degree of more than 3 years and minimum 50% in their graduation are eligible. The application form is available on the official website of IRMA. The application date starts from December and lasts till the mid of January. Application fees for general category are ?2500. Sc/St categories get special benefits followed by obc category. The admission process can be a little smooth in terms of students clarity about the results.

All the faculty have Phd from well known institutions, and also many of them have good amount of experience in major companies. The faculty are actively involved in research work and have published high no. of research publications. But it is not difficult to approach this busy faculty. Most of them are just a mail away and are always ready to help the participants.

There was an online WAT, written ability test in which we had to describe a given image. Then it was followed by a personal interview which was available online or offline. Preparing for the rounds required thorough reading of newspapers, agriculture related magazines as I'm from agriculture background.
