Life at Amity as a psychology student

There are 12 subjects during the first 5 semesters which makes the overall course extremely comprehensive and extensive providing us with extensive information and knowledge. We are taught foreign business languages as well which makes it easy for to go abroad for higher education. 12 subjects altogether teach us both theoretical and real world applications and uses of the subjects being taught to us. At the same time, it can be a bit exhausting for the students. The exams are held at the end of each and every semester and finished between one to 1.5 months. The exams are easy if you've studied thoroughly and the questions are mostly direct.

The tuition fees is high but the institution provides scholarship as well. The fees is okay keeping in mind the resources and facilities provided to us. The university provides internal job opportunities as well for the students and pays enough.

There is AYF which is the amity youth fest which is held for all the students to showcase their skills and clubs and also put up their own stalls to promote their personal brands or their businesses. Sangathan is held every odd semester which is like an annual sports competition allowing equal opportunities to all students to showcase their skills. There are music, drama, theatre, business, literary clubs and others as well such as movie, home science etc.

The admission process is fairly easy. We have to give an entrance exam first which is offline and then we have to go for a one on one interview round which again is fairly easy. The entrance exam which is the objective paper is easy to understand and the interview is very basic and easy to clear if you can put your thoughts and ideas to words.

There are a lot of sections to teach but there's lack of faculty. Despite that, the faculty that are there are extremely qualified and resourceful. There are professors like Rajat sir who have written books, worked with trained professionals, in prisons and various other areas. The interaction with faculties is extremely easy during the student visit hours and a few of the professors are even available after classes for the day. The professors can be called and messaged on WhatsApp and they usually respond within a few minutes to hours.
